You mean like Trump's having to be asked repeatedly about a frightening rash of anti-semitic incidents -- including bomb threats at Jewish Community Centers and the desecration of Jewish cemeteries -- before he would even acknowledge them? And he still hasn't really denounced them.

Yeah that kind of thing has happened here too in the past. Politicians "reach out" when they are forced to address an issue they don't care about, or want to care about. That's reaching out alright.
