Is anyone related to someone famous (or Infamous?)

Apparently I'm related to Donald and Keifer Sutherland. Something like Donald's mother was the daughter of my grandfather's brother...no wait, that's sounds closer than it is, there's another branch in there or something.
Anyway, it makes it cool when my girlfriend and I watch "24".

That means you are also related (even more distantly) to Tommy Douglas - I think it's Keifer's mother who is related to him.

Oh, that's what we're doing?

1. I'm related to Jackson.
2. Jackson lost his first election bid to John Quincy Adams.
3. John Qunicy Adams' father John Adams was played by Paul Giamatti
4. Paul Giamatti was in Safe Men with Mark Ruffalo
5. Mark Ruffalo was in In the Cut with...
6. Kevin Bacon.

Mmmmm...Bacon.

1. I saw Michael Jeter in an airport once.
2. Michael Jeter was in the Green Mile and the Polar Express with Tom Hanks
3. Tom Hanks was in the Terminal with Catherine Zeta Jones
4. Catherine Zeta Jones was in Ocean's 12 with Julia Roberts
5. Julia Roberts was in Flatliners with...
6. Kevin Bacon

Me
My sister
My sister's sister-in-law, Australian actress, Genevieve Picot
Genevieve was in the Australian movie Proof which also starred Russell Crowe and Hugo Weaving.

Now all I need is for someone to link either Russell Crowe or Hugo Weaving to Kevin Bacon for me (in as few moves as possible). I am not very good at movie trivia to do this myself.

Edited to add - Genevieve also played a small role in Muriel's Wedding which starred Toni Collette.

Well, to start
1. Hugo Weaving was in V For Vendetta with...
2. Natalie Portman was in Star Wars with...
3. Ewan McGregor was in Moulin Rouge with...
4. Nicole Kidman was in Days of Thunder with...
5. Tom Cruise was in A Few Good Men with...
6. Kevin Bacon

That's too many degrees for you of course, but maybe it will help someone else out.

I met James Doohan once, who was in "New York Skyride" with Kevin Bacon. That gives me a interpersonal Bacon score of '2'.

Not impressive? Yeah, not really. Okay, how about...

I worked at a computer store with a guy who roomed with, and was in a band (that did paid gigs) with, Dave Grohl when they were both in college. Dave Grohl was in Nirvana with Kurt Cobain, who was married to and also worked professionally with Courtney Love, who was in "Trapped" with Kevin Bacon. That gives me a professional Bacon score of '5'.

Well, the most famous person I've met was Dr. André Thomas, nationally famous choral composer and choral director.

I am, however, related on my mother's side to Charles Carroll, the only catholic, and longest lived signer of the Declaration of Independence.
