Iron Fist (Marvel/Netflix)

Without watching Iron Fist, Danny becomes pretty much a MacGuffin for the bad guy's plot.

I felt he was ultimately kind of a Macguffin in Iron Fist too -- something that's the catalyst of the plot and that motivates the other characters' actions, but isn't all that interesting to the audience.

I'll go along with that. I kept watching the show because I liked almost all the secondary characters, but Danny himself just annoyed me.

Just finished season one of Iron Fist on Netflix. Very disappointing series. Danny Rand/Iron Fist, as written and/or portrayed,, was frustratingly bad. This season should have also been significantly shorter. Ten episodes at most. I was actively rooting for the demise of Rosario Dawson's character with her stunted, fifth grade, sense of morality. Liked Colleen Wing and the Meachum family as well as Madam Gao. God, this series never seemed to know whether it was being made for kids or a more mature audience therefore it failed on both levels. Anyway, will give season 2 a chance.

I noticed during a flashback to a previous Iron Fist he was fighting with both fists glowing yet Danny only seems to be able to light up one. Perhaps yet another sign the wrong person was gifted the Iron Fist this time around.

I loved Luke Cage (S1&2)(minus Rosario Dawson again) and enjoyed S1 of Daredevil so far.

Heh, they're really going out of their way to say "Look! We improved on the fighting choreography this season!", aren't they? ;)

Well, why would that be a bad thing? If they've sincerely tried to up their game, there's no harm in letting people know. It only makes sense for promotional materials to promote what the season has to offer.

I’m about four to five episodes into Season One of “IRON FIST”. So far, it seems pretty decent.

By the way, why were there so many complaints about Finn Jones’ on-screen fighting style? I just watched him in two major fight scenes. Jones was actually pretty decent. In fact, his on-screen fighting style did not strike me as being worse than Charlie Cox or Jessica Henwick’s. And I was expecting it to be a lot worse. Oh well.
