Indiana Jones 5. It's official.

At 52, this makes me feel.... Wait.. What's the word I'm looking for? Oh yeah. OLD... Then again, it's not the years, it's the mileage.

I've always felt that Anthony Ingruber never got a fair shot at doing Solo, because folks felt his uncanny look and voice would be a distraction. But I think, if he has the chops, he'd make a great young Indy.

Yes, this! A distraction?? Its what would allow the distractions to PASS. Its what will give the suspension of disbelief. I can't believe anyone would think otherwise. When lightning strikes, and something this ... uncanny happens, you go for it!! You don't pass it up, just to subvert expectations.

Ingruber has the voice and mannerisms down so perfectly, I would completely be okay with recasting. He's 32. Perfect age, sound, and look. Its an absolute no-brainer IMO. I hope the show is set during the "Short Round" era and is technically a prequel, so no worrying about Henry or Marion or any later canon.

I would prefer a genuine actor and not some celebrity impersonator.

I would be absolutely fine with Ingruber rebooting the whole damn thing.

Why does Indiana Jones have to be rebooted in the first place? I say let the franchise die and do something new.

I wouldn't really call him a celebrity impersonator.

He's already played a young harrison ford in an actual movie, anyways.

Die may be the wrong word in my opinion. Just let it rest and enjoy it for the classics they are ( maybe except for Indy 4 and the jury is still out for 5).

This being Hollywood though i have no doubt that after a while someone will try to get a reboot off the ground, just to make money.

I have no problems with Indy 4. It's not even my favorite in the franchise, but it's not my least favorite. That honor belongs to Indy 3. But I still like it a lot.

You don't have to apologize. An "article" (?) with no sources on a website no one has ever heard of is no cause for alarm.

Edit. No, that's not fair. I'm sure someone somewhere has heard of that website before. Just because I haven't, it doesn't mean someone hasn't.

Not even going to bother reading the article since I've never heard of the site.
As for the show, I would love to get a prequel that explores Indy's early relationships with the Ravenwoods. I've been curious to see that story since I first saw Raiders, and from what I can tell it's never even been covered anywhere, not even in any of the comics, novels, games, ect.

The guy who goes out of his way into the threads for every popular show and series with links to some random site about a review or some news report or IMDb ratings and says the show is going to get canceled or the film sucks, etc. Called out on it many times and keeps doing it.

Mods please do your job and suspend/ban this creep following me around from thread to thread. It's really weird and creepy.

He's not following you around, you just post this exact same boring shit everywhere. It was just last week you were so eager to sow doubt about the future of Chris Hemsworth in the MCU that you posted in three different threads claiming he was replacing Henry Cavill as the new Witcher and 'What will this mean for the future of Thor?', even though your own linked article that you obviously hadn't even read clearly stated the new Witcher was Liam Hemsworth.

Another creep... Yikes

Also, the purported end of Indy V is suspiciously like the end of Logan, (last movie in franchise, hero dies, passes torch to young lady protege). So I think that makes it very unlikely they would do the exact same thing again for Indy.
