Fans have speculated for awhile time travel would be involved in some ways.

 

For some reason, I predict face melting is in his future.

I hadn't heard the time travel rumors, but the reference to correcting the mistakes of his past could definitely be a hint at that.

 

That cuts both ways. How many things is Indy wishing he could have a do-over on?

 

Mother f----....time travel? Going after the Fountain of Youth or the Omega 13?

If there is Cold War era time travel shenanigans then I prefer it involve Tim Curry.

 

Mikkelsen is 56, If his character is of a similar age he would have been in his twenties and thirties during the war. Old enough to have some regrets.

Yeah that doesn’t necessarily mean time travel. Remember we’re getting flashbacks to a de-aged Indy. So I’m guessing he did something to Mads character and now he’s taking revenge in the present.

 

I really hope this movie doesn’t end up demonizing the space program as a whole.
