Here's the only clean copy of the trailer I could find so far:

Plopping Pullman's speech from the first movie onto that trailer is a pretty clear sign that they have nothing new to bring to the table.
Same thought here, but I'm going to attribute it for now to not being stinkers about spoiling the whole movie in the trailer like some studios' Marketing Department idiots do. Also, It's been 20 years, so they want to remind us, and the unborn of those days, that there was once a real movie called "Independence Day" with a story that this one continues.Plopping Pullman's speech from the first movie onto that trailer is a pretty clear sign that they have nothing new to bring to the table.
It's doubtful they'll destroy LA, Washinton DC and New York again

If they'd managed to rebuild all, or indeed any, of those cities - in only twenty years, no less - I'd be very surprised.
Tone deaf to preceding posts.Well, considering how long it took to rebuild the World Trade Center (aka The Freedom Tower), I'd say that total rebuild of any one of those cities would be impossible. Even if you had every construction crew in the country with no political red tape to get in the way, it would be hard to rebuild even just half of Manhattan.
Cliche. When are they going to stop blowing up worlds and move on to something different like blowing up entire solar systems?
