I just finished this episode. I dare say it has to be one of my favorite Star Trek episodes of all time, because there's something very real about it... something very, Machiavellian that always reaffirms my judgment that Sisko is truly one of the best captains in all of Trek lore. He was able to set aside his conscience for the good the alpha quadrant and not get caught up in Federation dogma and self-loathing. Employing Garak to deceive the Romulans was the best decision he made in the entire war effort.
