They don't want sustained memberships with CBSAA from fans of the show?

Why wouldn't CBS not want people who like the show to subscribe?

Cool. That might help if they can get SNW or S31 going soon.

^ they could have also made more Short Treks while doing Discovery season 3.

Short Treks are great for what they are, but it's weird that they are airing them as "events" because they don'g have the series ready to go yet. We go from 0 Trek for months then the short Treks give us 10-15 minutes of Trek each month and then new episodes each week for 10-15 weeks back to 0 Trek for months.

yes they are aired as events. I am always worried that if Trek fans keep their subscriptions just for a single mini episode per month that CBS may decide that all they need is just one Star Trek series with 12 episodes, showing just one episode per month.

I for one don't even watch twilight zone, I get All Acess when Trek is on, and cancel it when its over. I catch up on Macgyver or watch old episodes of Mission Impossible when I have it, but thats not enough for me to keep it, Same for Disney, when some show is on, I'll get it, then cancel it.. seen most of whats on Disney already.. Only thing I keep is Prime because of the free shipping..
Want to keep me? Give me new content I want to watch year round.. I know there trying with Trek, and Wars.. but not there yet.
as for Disco, If I have to wait abit longer to not have the Copy and Paste fleet happen on the show.. Take your time! that was a travisty..

The "copy and paste fleet" was on Picard, not Disco.

The S31 ships and drones were probably a copy&paste job.

Yeah, but there were 5 different designs at least.

Really? I sure wish the CGI had been better looking. That battle was so busy, I saw maybe 2 types. The folding pylon type, and the 4 nacelle job.

The Control space battle was so ridiculous, eye-rolling and over the top I didn't really care how many generic Eaves designed drone ships there were. The usual terrible space cinematography was so bad we hardly saw any of them anyway.

He's saying they should delay Discovery season 3 as long as possible so that we don't get another copy and paste fleet. And I agree.

You sure like blaming Eaves for things he didn’t do. First the Nova class, now this.

Eaves didn’t design any of the S31 ships. He didn’t work on DSC Season 2 at all.

Which surprised me actually, the seaplane style hull of the main ship just screamed Eaves at me.

With them having an Eaglemoss pic of the one ship, did we actually see it on screen? Again, the CGI was not great and there was so much going on in those scenes.

Yes. I have no idea why M-A was using the Eaglemoss model, but I changed it to this:

Edit: Huh there is a 4th S31 variant in the back there, the 4 nacelled ship, but with a roll bar.

I hate the ultra contrasty look of CBSTrek space shots. I mean wtf is that ^

... the same stuff like the last three new trek seasons: a good build-up to a very disapointing finale. I really loved the beginnings of STP and (especially the second season of) DSC, but when they story went by, it got more and more confusing to me and at the end, most things either didn't make much sense or made less sense, than the build-up let me hope. There's no reason to assume that it will be different this time.
