If you had to pick your two favorite Voyager Episodes....

Re: If you had to pick your two favorite Voyager Episodes...

Does double episodes count? I thought that some of Voyager's best was in them.

because: They have some good humor, they have some good Trekian moral plays and they have virtually no technobabble or plot holes.

^Do you mean "Deathwish?" It sounds the most like what you described. "Q-Less" is a DS9 episode, I believe.

Whoops, yeah. I wasn't sure about the title.

Someone To Watch Over Me

and

Message In A Bottle

Re: If you had to pick your two favorite Voyager Episodes...

"Scorpian"

and

"Deadlock"

With "Real Life" and "Faces" as the runners up.

In terms of ideas about human beings, it would be the one where the Doctor is traumatized and they think they can fix it by wiping his memory... and the one where B'lanna wants the Doctor to genetically re-engineer her fetus.

Re: If you had to pick your two favorite Voyager Episodes...

No way can I narrow it down to just 2!

But, let's see...

"Living Witness": for overall awesomeness, favorite Doctor-episode and because it was Tim's directing debut

"Meld" - Tuvie, need I say more?

"Caretaker": great introduction of all the characters

"Year of Hell" - great ensemble episode

"Warlord" - favorite Kes-episode

"Jetrel" - favorite Neelix-episode

"Flashback" - for nostalgic reasons, and Tuvie again

"Resistance" - favorite Janeway-episode

"Infinite Regress" - great Seven ep and great acting showcase for Jeri Ryan

"Riddles" - absolutely stellar performance by Tim

"Future's End" - fun

oh well, and at least 10 or 20 others...

Re: If you had to pick your two favorite Voyager Episodes...

My 2 favorite episodes are:

"Death Wish" for a Q's right to a mortal existence.

"Lifesigns" for Denara Pel's crusade to help save the plight of her people.

Re: If you had to pick your two favorite Voyager Episodes...

"Remember".
A group of Enarans are passengers on Voyager, which can get them from a distant colony to their homeworld faster than any Enaran transport. During the trip, B'Elanna Torres learns that long ago, the Enaran people exiled and executed dissenters who resisted their society's march toward technological advancement. Then future generations were told that those dissenters had gone away voluntarily, and died because they couldn't survive on their own.

"Flesh and Blood." In the earlier episode "The Killing Game", Janeway gave the Hirogen holodeck technology in hopes that the Hirogen could satisfy their urge to hunt by killing holograms instead of real people. The Hirogen go beyond Janeway's intentions and make their holograms sentient, for a more challenging hunt. Those sentient holograms become challenging enough to start beating the Hirogen at their own game.

presence, when you finish your series, would you let us know which ten episodes you chose?

Re: If you had to pick your two favorite Voyager Episodes...

People,

I'm going to "cheat" a little and mention a two-parter as one of my faves (bringing it to three eps, technically): "Scorpion, Pts. 1 & 2," and "Death Wish."

So, what's the verdict, or have we overwhelmed you with our suggestions? ;)

Re: If you had to pick your two favorite Voyager Episodes...

I actually have four favorite Voyager episodes:

Meld
The Killing Game, Parts I & II

Re: If you had to pick your two favorite Voyager Episodes...

Coda
Captain Janeway is stuck in some kind of time loop where she keeps dying in the end. Then she sees her father who tries to take her with him into his 'matrix' that would have permanently killed her.

Resolutions
Chakotay and Captain Janeway are infected with a fatal virus and are stranded on a planet alone together. Nearing the end Chakotay tells Kathryn that he loves her...i loved that part the best.

Also just for a runner up, I loved Waking moments.... I just couldn't stop laughing when Tuvok got on the bridge to realize he was butt naked.

The suggestions so far have been fabulous! To be fair, I'm part way through Season 6, so I'll wait until I'm done watching Voyager before I make my final choice. Right now, if I were to pick a 2-parter it would be:

Future's End
or
Scorpion

If choosing individual episodes, I would do one "action" show:

Timeless
or
Relativity
or
Worst Case Scenario
or
Before and After
or
Nemesis

and one "character" show:

Lifesigns
or
Living Witness
or
Thirty Days
or
Riddles

This list may have other possibilities added to it once I finish watching Season 6 & 7.
