I'd Hit... Wait, What?!

Yeah, I'd hit the man in a mirror. With a baseball bat. I usually just flip him off though.

Naw, I do have that occasional "hey, sexy!" reaction to myself. I gotta keep working on being less embarrassed when chicks react to me the same way.

Usually looking at myself naked in the mirror is enough to stop me from getting an erection for a week.

When I look at me in the mirror, usually it's "damn, I have a lot of work to do."

Must be spring!

I'm not my type either, but if I were, I'd go for it. :D

Of course she's hit that... and you've hit that... and so has every other person in this room. :bolian:

I think a healthy appreciation of the self is a good thing, if you don't find yourself delightful, how do you expect others to? :p

I had a topic about this exact same thing years ago here, I had a lot of fun! We had a lot more arrogant, narcissistic, lovable so and sos then. :D

The whole thing is weird to me not because people shouldn't be confident, but because it seems like such a weird line of thinking to me. Sexual attraction to oneself? I've certainly never thought in those terms, but I suppose others do!

I'd say it's not about sexual attraction toward oneself, but understanding why people of the appropriate inclination might be attracted to you. If I met someone who looks and behave like me, I won't be attracted to him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he were quite popular with the ladies (and some of the gentlemen), so to speak.

Now that's something I never thought I would write.

Do you look at yourself in the mirror and have thoughts like that.

Totally. I mean, not sexually, but a "hell, yes" if I like how I look and what I'm wearing, sure. I'd be really worried that something was wrong if I didn't feel that way most days, actually. It's not about how how attractive I may or may not be to others, but how I feel about myself on looking in the mirror.

Not quite to this extent, mind...

Well, not every day, anyway... ;)

... I've never looked at myself in the mirror and thought, "Yeah, I'd hit that."

But, then, I had to wonder, am I the norm or do people actually do this? Do you look at yourself in the mirror and have thoughts like that. Furthermore, if you don't, why not?

I don't, 'cause I'm really not my type, what with the penis hangin' there & all.

I have a lot of the same traits that I find attractive in others so I don't see why not.

Oh, hmmm. Well I suppose if my hair is behaving and I have makeup on, I see how others might think I'm pretty. I just think they're crazy. :p

And no I'm not saying that because I want reassurances or compliments!

I suspect I have a higher opinion of my looks than other people have of me. I tend to look in the mirror and think, "if I saw this woman in the street what would I think of her looks today?" and since I generally think 95% of women look lovely I go away with a positive answer. I realize this is a bit weird.

Well, not to reassure or compliment you, but you have a natural, radiant beauty in every picture I've ever seen of you.

That doesn't sound weird. On the rare occasion my confidence is high enough, when I look in the mirror, I think to myself, "I don't look too bad today, about on average, really", which is fine with me. I don't have to look like a hunk, I just don't want to look like I arrived from Mordor on the 3:15 Express.
