I want to see the Andorian of discovery!

Canadians and American playing characters hailing from different countries? Aren't we against this now?
Ever heard of James Doohan, Walter Koenig, Patrick Stewart, Levar Burton, Zoe Saldana, Nichelle Nichols?
Not perfect, but better than nonAmericans paying even more Americans characters as if there are not enough of them in the franchise.

Sorry, who are these people?

I think I'll refrain from responding to you in future. I get a very negative vibe from you.

You're joking right?

I canna tell jokes, which were invented in Russa, btw, anymore than, like history, I'd ever forget the name Enterprise, while playing Watson with superior aural sensitivity and calling Cleary from the bridge.

I'm a Star Trek fan. Of course I'm joking!

Since I would estimate that at least 1/4 of the entire acting population of Hollywood is Canadian, I think that ship has already sailed.

Seriously. Probably half the American characters you've seen in TV and film within the last 20 years have been played by Canadian actors. You can look it up.

That said: My favorite tale about this US/Canada thing is regarding one of the greatest cop shows of all time, Night Heat.

That show was (like DSC) filmed in Toronto, but apparently not set there; at no time did they ever say which city it was...I think it was intended to represent any large American city. Anyhoo: As Canadian cities tend to be, well, cleaner than American ones, during one night's filming the camera crew had to suitably "distress" the street location where they were setting up, so they carefully scattered trash, put down some graffiti, etc. Then they broke for lunch.

When they came back, the crew found that helpful Canadian passersby had come by and cleaned the whole thing up on their own!

There will "definitely" be Andorians and Tellarites in season 2 according to Aaron Harberts.

Yay. More fanwank I'm sure. Thirteen episodes about an Andorian four sex wedding and the miffed Tellarite admiral who wasn't invited! Weeeee!!!

At the premiere of the first two-hours' in an LA cinema, one of the actors saw a cosplaying fan, dressed as an Andorian, and told her, "We have one of you in our show!"

You are correct. How large a cast do you want to see to reflect that?
the same as voyager

Andorians only have two sexes, their marriages are composed of four individuals
