I officially began my journey through all Star Trek on October 9th...

Been a month already? Whoa.

Sorry for not updating, I was feeling burnt out after Spirit Folk so I went and took a bit of a break. I'll get back to watching again soon. ENT on Blu-ray arrived just a few days back so I still fully intend to watch everything.

I'll try to get the rest of VOY done before Christmas if possible, then we'll see what happens...

Fair enough, that's a massive amounts t of Trek you've consumed and, unfortunately, you're well beyond the creative peak of the franchise.

There is some good to be found in VOY season seven, particularly if you have any interest in Tom and B'Elanna's relationship. I certainly don't think there's an episode as bad as Spirit Folk again anyway. ;)

When I watched ENT I found myself liking seasons three and four a lot more than I remember, so I was back to binge-watching after struggling with seasons one and two. :o

If I could get Enterprise S4 for cheap, I would. I liked what Coto was doing with it. But the rest of the series was finger-down-the-throat, gag-me-with-a-smurf awful, IMHO.

Season four was a glimmer of potential but it still had a lot of problems. I think a good portion of the praise heaped on it isn't because it was such a great season of TV but because the proceeding three were so bad that it seems so good by comparison.

I think enterprise was a lot better than some make it out to be, seasons 3 and 4 were pretty good and if they had taken a similar approach from the beginning i think it would have lasted longer.

I haven't seen it since it first aired but I remember Voyager's 6th and 7th season being it's strongest.

I'm confused. Does Fury make sense? I'm not sure if it makes sense.

Either way, it was nice seeing Kes again (I'm lying)... even if I had to put up with another bout of Jennifer Lien "acting"

"Let's bring a past character back and totally ruin them" was a modern Trek specialty.

Fury makes no sense. But it does rather reflect the shoddy thinking about Time Travel that will follow Voyager to the end. Remember the wonderful layering of "Before and After" and how it led into 'Year of Hell" or the perfect balance of "Timeless"? Yeah we're not gonna see that again. Sadly consider Fury to be something of a foreshadowing for some of the thought processes for Enterprise. Minor spoiler hint "Temporal Cold War". No it won't make any more sense than Fury does even once you discover what it is.

I don't think they ever actually even try to fully explain the temporal cold war.

Yeah on that note. When you finally do reach the end of Enterprise, be sure and watch "These are the Voyages", A. By itself, so it doesn't bleed over and corrupt anything else, B. Drunk, preferably enough so you black out and forget what you just watched, and C. with any sharp objects or instruments of self harm safely locked away. Not joking about that last one.

Most of the remainder of Voyager's episodes are mainly categorized as "average". You could almost interswap them with mid run TNG episodes storywise. No real awful ones, but I don't think any real over the top good ones either. heck the ones that I like the best from that run actually felt like copies of better Farscape episodes. (Shattered and Workforce)

Was there time travel involved in Fury? I don't remember that.

Yes.

Kes uses the warp core to "power" herself back in time, to Voyager's first year in the DQ. She stuns her younger self in the aeroponics bay and hides her.

I think there are just two Borg heavy episodes in the final season, which at this point of the show is a good thing.

Shalashaska, now that you are more than half way through the Trek series, what's you general feeling?

I guess it's positive since you haven't stopped in the middle of some series?
