I miss DS9!! *cry*

It's been so many years since DS9 ended, and for the most part I am usually ok, but today, I am really missing this show. Anybody else feel this way at times?

I think I'm gonna put some dvd's on, it's not the same as a new episode, I know, but you do with what you have.

When are the new books coming out?

It would have been nice to see Voyager, TNG and DS9 going into the 8th Season and more. Still, if DS9 was still on it would be in its 15th season this Fall.

In my judgment, with the ending of season 7 it did leave a rich fantasy life for Star Trek in the out years of 2380 - 2420. It would be nice if Star Trek did take on this era.

It had to come to an end. Simple, if it went into season 8 it would have been fine. It could have gone into season 10 before the network would have to say it is time to end the show.

I don't think it's DS9 that I specifically miss. Yes, it was a great show. Not given the credit it deserves. But it's just new Star Trek. I even liked Enterprise and Voyager. (I know that's not the most popular view around here.)
I'm hard pressed, now, to find an episode of Star Trek where I don't know what the next line of dialogue will be.

DS9 was syndicated - no network to call the shots like with VOY & ENT. It was a studio decision, and yeah, I think DS9 is the only one of the Trek shows that could have gone on with from 'What You Leave Behind' with a mix of old & new characters.

Ah, well...I miss the television series, but I read the books, so at least there's that.

I miss DS9 too. But I miss it because I have such good memories with it , its beginning , whole story and finale. Yes finale. Like any good story it should have a decent finale and DS9 had it and it ended in its time graciously. It didn't stretch out 9-10 seasons needlessly , messed up is quality , story or characters then became a joke of itself. Frankly I didn't want it to go on and on until 15th season. Every good story should end sometime with grace , not milked out until last drip of cash.

I know what you folks mean. If I'm flipping channels and come across "The Visitor" or "Hard Time" or "Way of the Warrior," I have to agree that more DS9 would be a good thing.

Let me add my praise to the wonderful DS9 Relaunch books. If you haven't read them, you owe it to yourself to give them a try.

I do hope we can see DS9 again on the screen. If anyone can do it and do it well, it's Ira Behr.

i miss it too. If Deep Space Nine does return, I hope its down right, w/out strings. Yes, I like Ezri's idea about a conglomeration of V'ger, DS9, w/the Enterprise thrown in. Perhaps running a couple of seasons maybe more if the audience still demands it.

Since Trek ended w/the Reman affair, that would be good place to pick up
