Just switched over to Netflix from Hulu now that they're offering Season 8 in HD. It looks SO good compared to previous seasons.
SG-1 and Atlantis are pretty procedural, but they do have arcs and what not throughout the show. SGU is serialized, but not in a good way. It basically drags things out and wastes its potential by either not doing anything with established plot elements or doing random ass things that have little to no connection to what has happened in the series.I just jumped on this forum b/c I'm wanting to start watching the various Star Trek tv series, but just noticed the Stargate forum.
I'm also looking to jump into SG-1. A friend of mine tried to get me into Stargate a few years ago but I just never got arond to it. Now that practically every season is on Netflix Instant Streaming, I think I'm going to dive into SG-1 Season 1 along side watching TOS of Star Trek.
I do have a question for Stargate fans. Does SG-1, Atlantis and Universe all follow the whole individual episode/procedural type format or do any of the shows become serialized at any point?
If you don't care for "Icon" you'll probably hate the sequel in season nine, "Ethon."
