Aside from Roseanne's tweet, that article doesn't seem to add anything more than what the Hollywood Reporter article I shared. Still, sounds promising.
I don't like what Roseanne tweeted but this is a gross over reaction. She was fired and she apologised repeatedly. Is there no room for forgiveness? I feel uneasy about the level of punishment being levelled at this woman. As great as John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf are this show would be nothing without Roseanne. I've finally come to the realisation that I'd rather it didn't continue without her. I don't feel the need to see Roseanne's family skipping over their grief because the actress is hated by some. That isn't the type of show Roseanne is. It embraces reality. Bring the show back with Roseanne and deal with the controversy intelligently on screen.

If she can't say it without crude derogatory language she isn't the person to bring this issue to Ivanka Trump or anyone else. Calling someone a cunt and calling someone an ape are both vile insults. Only Roseanne has been punished and it's dubious whether she even knew Valerie was a person of color in the first place. If Samantha Bee is forgiven then Roseanne should be too in my opinion.

That's actually a good point. If people are out for a public flogging of the actress then they are doing a fine job of it. However 'in story' the characters should be as human as we are used to seeing them.

If Bee knew that the edited and approved script she was reading off a teleprompter would have gotten her almost probably fired, Sam, or the person in charge of standards and practices would have changed the c-word to asshole or moron, or another less career threatening word that means "bad person" that would not have endangered her staff.
