^You're probably the only one. I know there might be some people who care, but I'm talking generally. Also, why start it on a Saturday or Sunday. There is so much going on this weekend in sports that of course even if Hockey was talked about in this country, it would play third or forth fiddle.
What else is going on?

College Football on Upset Saturday, NFL Football tomorrow, and the MLB Regular season wrapping up in fine fashion.

Just got back from the Oilers game. In which they lost. Not to mention Mathieu Roy got severely injured. Im not sure exactly what happened, Im assuming its a head/neck injury cause they took him out in a stretcher. The guy who hit him got a 5min penalty and a game misconduct. Probably a suspension in the near future as well.

As for the kings, Im glad they won, but me beinga Kings fan is why i didnt come in here last year as much. Blargh

Rollie still has some skill, but he needs a great defense to be a big factor. I think the Oil's defense is suspect, especially with the addition of Souray who is just an awesome shot from the point and little else.

I hear Sam Gagner has looked quite impressive for the Oil since training camp began though. What about Robbie Scrempf (sp?), haven't heard much of him. Is he going to be the real deal or what?

Schremp was sent down to the AHL. Gagner has made the team so far. I assume he'll be playing tomorrow.

Phh. You silly easterners. :p

Im really hoping to go to a kings/oilers game this season. Now that i can.

Sharks start tonight. I can't wait. Should be a fun year.

Against my Oilers!! :brickwall:

There's been some interesting games when these two teams meet. I still remember that playoff series like it was yesterday.

Yay!

The Sens beat the Leafs!

I feel the same way. Hopefully they do it again tonight in Ottawa.

Go Sens!!!

1st intermission as of this posting and judging by the 1-0 Sens score and the fact that the Leafs power play is beyond anemic, you may get your wish :(

Why do the Sharks suck so much in the Shootout? Nabokov is a good goalie, but he'll never be a great goalie unless he actually stops some pucks in the Shootout. At least they got a point but still.

I did. :D

Sens beat the Leafs 3-2. Apparently the Leafs somewhat outplayed the Sens, but the Toronto power play is pretty crap--0 for 7 last night.

^I wish it was available in the US. I remember Yahoo doing something for the postseason where they streamed the games online, but this would be a good way to market the league. Be the first sport to stream games online and include some advertising for dollars.
