it amazes me that he was able to make the decision to get up and get to the bench.
watching the video, you can tell he's losing consciousness as he goes down the tunnel.
News I heard today indicates a 6-8 week recovery and then reevaluation for his hockey status

With all the injuries to key players the avalanche have had to fight through, it amazes me they are still in the thick of the race.
It was also good to watch the Ducks-Avs game last night and hear the boos every time Todd "chicken-shit punk" Bertuzzi touched the puck. I love long sports memories

Great game last night between the Oilers and Canucks. Classic.
I've decided that the more I watch him, the more I like Ovechkin. Every time he scores a goal, he gets excited like it's his first. The guy has a passion and excitement for the game that shows and I like watching it.

The trade deadline is coming and it feels so very quiet. I haven't really been following it that much, but I hope the Sharks do something. I think they have the talent but they are really underachieving. I wouldn't be surprised if the Sharks don't win the Stanley Cup this year if Ron Wilson is gone. In fact I think it might be for the best if Wilson is fired. It almost happened last year and I would have thought after being eliminated by Detroit and Doug Wilson taking 2 weeks of silence, that now Ron Wilson is on a very tight leash.
I wouldn't be that upset to see Emery gone, but unfortunately I don't think there's a good enough replacement available to justify the change. Khabibulin? Please. I'm just praying that they remember how to play defense before the playoffs start.
Yeah, you're looking at Khabibulin or Theodore, two goalies who are not any better than Emery/Gerber.
Yeah, I don't think there's much the Kings can do.
I hope the Flyers do something to help them, though. At one point, they were great this season, but I definitely can't say that now. Injuries are a problem, though. I'm not sure they can make a trade that'll make up for that.
