You know, I have felt the sensation of floating above my bed, and more than once, I felt like I was floating over my room. I woke up and it felt like i landed on my bed. Now, it could most likely be sleep paralysis, at least, I certainly hope so.

I do kinda remember another thing from my childhood(I was 8)...I was at my grandmother's house in the mountains and it was a family gathering thing...everyone was in the front yard eating and having a good time and my cousin and I were running around the house...he was back in the front yard and I was in the back yard and way back in the back yard beside a barrel/oil drum my grandfather used to burn trash was a white rabbit and it was as tall as the drum but with the ears it extended a foot or so taller...I had never seen the almond shaped all black eyed aliens before but the rabbit had those type of eyes...I was shocked at seeing it and couldn't move for a few moments but then I screamed and ran and got some adults to come with me to the back yard and it was gone...they pretty much laughed at me and that was that.

I know Bones wanted to make this a serious discussion, but the topic of alien abduction and the Trek BBS don't really go together all that well. The dominant mindset is going to be against the concept and lots of jokey comments are going to proliferate. I answered quite seriously earlier on in the thread, but you can't expect everyone here to do so.
There can't be a serious post on alien abduction. A person who talk about his alien abduction only if they are joking, lying or are completely misinformed about the odds. At best they are dreaming about it and are unaware about just how improbable it is. Just the same way when you “seriously” say “This week I'm going to win the lottery!”.
The joke posts on such subject are the same as the serious posts, they only acknowledge the odds with a bit of humour.

Okay, but some of the implants removed from alleged abductees can't be so easily dismissed. Those of you who've watched UFO Hunters might be familiar with these cases. These cases are strange, in that signals were detected emanating from the supposed implants before they we're removed, the implants supposedly resisted attempts to remove them (albeit futilely in the end), and there was no inflammation of the surrounding tissue, which is something that is very unusual for a foreign object, because the body hates foreign objects, and will also inflame in an attempt to remove it.

The abductors have to do it at a time when there is the least amount of eye-witnesses, otherwise if they get spotted enough, people will panic, demanding action, the military and law enforcement would be forced to stay on high alert, and that would make the Alien's jobs harder, even if their technology apparently makes ours way out of their league. Whatever they are doing, it appears that at least one faction or species doesn't want to wipe us outright, or at least not yet. They are using plausible implausibility to their advantage.
Yes, that is the billion dollar question, isn't it? It appears that multiple sources indicate that we are looking at a selective genetic project, one in which at least one faction is attempting to closer bridge to gulf between our two species.
From what I've gathered from a recorded interview with at least one contactee, there are at least two major factions, possibly from the same species. Both use greys as biomechanical drones; some sort of droids, and considering that they are very similar, that is why I think we might be caught up in the middle of a cold war. One side appears to have ideals similar to our own, and want to help us, or so the contactee says. But the other faction isn't friendly, and that is putting it lightly.
It is alleged from multiple sources that whatever plans that this second faction has in store for us, they are not in our best interest, nor could they care less about our well being. This is the faction allegedly responsible for cattle mutilations, and according to some abductees, they have have an underground base where they have even done the same to human beings. As in disemboweling them. And there are indications that the reason for this is because we are looking at a genetic harvest, though for what reason can only be hypothesized.
Then there is the friendlier side, which allegedly wants to improve us as a species, at least from their perspective. They want to genetically weed out our aggressive tendencies, allegedly in hopes of making it easier for both sides when they finally decide to reveal themselves. Abductees/contactees have also alleged that some human/alien hybrids already live among us.
I have a number of ideas for these sorts of activities:
As a species, they experienced some sort of disaster, perhaps a nuclear war, which wiped out most of the population and left others with damaged genes, which left them as a species in trouble. I've also read that according to an abductee, he was shown their home planet as it turned lifeless, and that they now live below the surface. From the description, I think they might have suffered some sort of grey goo or nanite disaster, which they were advanced enough to survive themselves, but rendered their planet a barren wasteland, and it definitely had something to do with their technology, and they are threatened by extinction, and because of this, they were pressured enough to split into two factions. One has a friendlier attitude to other species, and does not believe that they should harm another species, especially a less advanced culture such as ourselves, even if it means saving their species. The other faction believes that they should put themselves first, and are not above the belief that if saving themselves means harming others, then that is what they will do. We might be looking at something similar to the Vulcans and Romulans had the two been constantly at odds with one another, and had the Romulans been more aggressive in their conquests.
Yet another is that the idea behind the Asgard's demise might have a place in real life: in using some sort of life-extension technique or cloning themselves to make themselves immortal, they have damaged their genetic viability, and are all but infertile.
As the problem grew more dire, tensions grew to the point that as a race, they split into a pair of factions, each with different ideas of how to solve their problem.
So one side is trying to diversify themselves genetically by mixing with our species by some means, such as en vitro or genetic engineering/manipulation. From their point of view, they are improving us as a species by selectively breeding out our aggression while also breeding in their own psychic abilities, while at the same time, they are also ensuring that their legacy won't die out.
The less friendly side on the other hand is trying to gain genetic material directly, not caring about whether the source lives or not, and trying to directly infuse the genetic material into themselves in an attempt to either extend their lifespan, increase their genetic diversity, or both.
I know that
1) this is a lot of information to read, and
2) this might seem too unbelievable to be true
So just approach this the same way I have: with an open (albeit scrutinizing) mind.

I have definitely experienced sleep paralysis, which is scary when it happens, but I knew what it was straight away and just drifted off back to sleep.
I did have something odd happen to me one night that I've never been able to explain. It involved a bed with another person in it. Said person got up to use the washroom, closed the door and left me in the dark. My blanket was pulled off me. Saw a black shadowy figure floating above me, and heard what sounded like a... err... some sort of vibrating device, very loud and in my face. Couldn't move for about 10 seconds. Lights came back on and it disappeared. I looked it up and others have experienced the weird vibrating noise, etc... ah. It was just creepy. I wasn't asleep so I'm hoping it was real and I'm not insane.xD This was several years ago now... it never happened again.

But I wanted to tell my story. Also, my friends and I were in the backyard of my house, and we saw this ... thing up in the sky. It changed directions wildly, and was just all over the place. All of a sudden, it just blinked out.

i'm sorry, it's true...
one time, quite a few years ago, i was abducted by these horrible grey creatures... they fed me this terrible food and forced me to answer questions while listening to their aweful sounds, i think it could have been at attempt at speech, but the utter nonsensical speech just drove me to tears...
at least i think it was aliens... it might have been a political party my dad 'bribed' me to work at for a night... same thing really though...

If aliens are intelligent enough to master space travel the same way we have mastered car travel, then why would they come to earth, the universe is a big place, why would they not find a more advanced alien race to help them, they got space travel that allows them to pop from solar system to solar system, or even galaxy to galaxy, so why are they coming to earth only at night to probe people for a few hours then pop off again before morning.
No i personally think these are all simply dreams and delusions that some people feel are true, then throw into the mix those who make money from it all......quite a big business this UFO and ghost stuff.
But let me just add that these are my own views on the matter, if you believe then more power to you.
