I think that's a weird point of view. Like saying that if there's no God then we might as well kill ourselves. Life without the supernatural is still rich and worth living.

It refers to the thought that Star Wars: The Force Awakens copies the plot points of Star Wars: A New Hope so closely that it could be considered a remake. Let's try to get those creative, associative, metaphorical, and humor-interpretive thinking synapses firing on all thrusters.

What thrusters? And why would we be humorous or metaphorical? That is not literal!

I'm a little stumped as to how HIjol can now appear to agree with eyeresist.

Also, just to state for the record, I'm sure there's a fart joke somewhere in PhaserLightShow's confusion about thrusters, humor, metaphors, and 'literal.' I just couldn't come up with the right one. If I can't come up with anything within ten seconds, it's not gonna happen. Jokes are like sex that way.

I suspect some of these confusions are caused by use of the ignore list, which can change the apparent context of a post.
