We all know what happened when that other sci-fi franchise whose name begins with Star did a holiday special, which made me wonder: Has Trek ever done anything holiday related at all, even just a short video or something like that?
Christmas is mentioned in both "Dagger of the Mind" (that infamous Christmas party with Helen Noel) and STAR TREK: GENERATIONS (Picard's family Christmas fantasy in the Nexus), but neither of those are really holiday stories.
And wasn't Thanksgiving mentioned in "Charlie X"?

In "Charlie X," Kirk says that it's Thanksgiving on Earth.
Maybe it's like "Independence Day" and the whole planet adopted it after we repelled that worldwide alien invasion on the third Thursday in November.
"Today we give thanks for our survival, for our very existence. Today we celebrate . . . Thanksgiving!"
