I just watched Emissary tonight. Not coincidental, but I really wanted to start the series back up again and watch it this year. Happy Birthday DS9.

Wait, wait, wait...
Since this aired in January and not September, does this mean DS9 only got 6.5 seasons instead of the established Trek 7??!?

It had twenty episodes, just shy of its standard 26. Closer to 4/5ths of a season.

Regarding my previous post, where I said the first season of DS9 only had 12 episodes--I stand corrected.

Yep and I watched it and really liked it. Thought this was the best Trek since Yesterday's Enterprise and The Enterprise Incident.

The subsequent episodes sucked (for me) at the time but I came back to and have loved it ever since.

Man, I remember watching "Emissary" first-run. I was all of nine at the time, but I remember being excited weeks in advance since I was so hooked on TNG at the time.

Yep. I remember that too, except I was not quite 23 at the time.
