First the goods news...
Hubby and I were out today, stopped by the at&t place we frequent to find out about changing our cable and check out the new phones. My blackberry is having problems holding a charge. So Hubby got me an iphone! Just like that! I got the $99 upgrade charge and now have to figure it out.
Bad news...
We were at the optometrist, who asked me questions about my health and family history regarding macular degeneration. My grandmother (the one I don't like much) has it. So they gave me the test. Score should be 45 or something like that. I got 14--the lowest and worst they've seen. That means I'm highly likely to have this problem when I'm older.
Good news in the bad news...
Evidently, taking certain vitamins can help repair this before it actually becomes a problem. They'll recheck it in 6 months to see if there's improvement. Otherwise, it's not guaranteed I'd get it, but with a score like that, it would be far more likely. The vitamins don't work if you already have the problem--so the good news is (hopefully) that this is caught in plenty of time to be prevented.
THEN Hubby bought me the phone. He said he got it for me cause he's hoping to get lucky. Silly. He doesn't need to get me anything for that--I'm the lucky one to get him.
