Decided on playing the game again. Did one mission so far. First in probably 18 months. Maybe longer. Shall be interesting to see how many I get done tonight.

Since they made much of the Kobali arc skippable, I don't tend to do it (and I always skip the final mission at the end of the Delta arc due to the electrical floor section being an arse). BUT - I got bored this evening and had a go, and realized I'd forgotten it was a source of 2xTech Point boosts for upgrading gear!
I thoroughly despised the whole Kobali/Vaadwaur storyline in STO. It went on WAY too long, IMO, and I found both species repugnant for their own reasons. Didn't help that I've never been a big Voyager fan. I wanted to blow them all away, honestly, but we were supposed to sympathize with the Kobali, so, Achievement Whore that I admittedly am, I went ahead with the missions and never returned, save the occasional Personal Endeavor requirement that pops up.
I loathe those missions because of the Vaadwaur artillery bombardments. In a slower ship, you only have two real survival mechanisms - pop Evasive Maneuvers or hit Reverse Shield Modulation (Brace For Impact might help, but I rarely give it space on my taskbar) and in some missions they spam it like crazy since even the smaller ships can use it.
Lots of sales on in STO at the moment, i was hoping the 10th Anniversay bundle would appear again as i missed it twice already, but nothing yet, might appear on Friday.
I'm not a huge fan of the Vaadwaur/Kobali arc either. Especially once you learn that the Kobali have been turning dead Vaadwaur into Kobali without their consent. There is no way that the Federation should even consider supporting that, though I suppose the alternative would be letting the Vaadwaur wipe the Kobali out entirely. The whole Delta story tried to do too much at once, I feel. The Gamma expansion had a much more compact and, at least for me, enjoyable arc.
A new winter event will be starting today with a new ship and rewards, so don't miss it as you are better starting this as soon as it begins then reap more rewards and extra dil before it ends. 
I think one of the most interesting things about the Kobali arc was how they tied the original Harry Kim into it. STO brings in a LOT of weird "loose ends" or one-off species/things and ties them in in weird ways (it's all Iconians!), but the way the original Harry Kim was added made a lot of sense.
Just a heads up, the STO 10th anniversary legends ships bundle is back up for 3 days....this is the 3rd time it has appeared on the PC version since it launched last Feb, so who knows if it will appear again after this year is gone, so if you ar going to get it now might be the last chance.
I don't play, but I find the Youtube walkthroughs interesting.

Yeap, i got a console from mine, and keep a watch because more rewards are incoming over the next week or two for the games 11th anni, so free stuff, may fave kind of stuff. lol
Starting with tomorrow's update a new event will be live with a new ship as the reward, plus a new update to the factions system means your KDF Klingon faction charactor will now be able to use any of your fed ships, and vis versa.

All the parts and skins seems to have come within the Legendary anniversary bundle as i was messing about and found you could mix and max, hence the TOS Excelsior, well in my eyes anyway. lol
Yeah, I seem to remember one of the Cryptic constitution variants to have that secondary hull.
