Giving STO Another Try

The Jelly fish ship is the ship to use if you are farming dil, it just destroyes everything on the screen in turret mode and heals anyone in range at the same time......making random tfos on advanced a easy 1400 dill a run.

Yeah i have been using it for the last 2 months and i have 2000 dil waiting to get converted to zen, and it makings adv runs so easy, now i can also do elites but the success rate for them is about 50/50 some days, so it is better to just do adv guarantee that dil, and that Vovin console and the ruin of our enemies trait just turned the JF turret mode into a instand win build.

Oh and a little but of triva, i don't know if it's a bug or by design, but if you activate the ba'ul obelisk console while in turret mode it removes that big round pink bubble effect in some tfo's, which is actually good and makes the JF look just like a normal ship while in turret mode, but is this a bug or by design, as i would love them to remove the pink bublle mode as default as the JF in turret mode looks 100 times better without it, and i have noticed people in runs commenting on it as a positive for the JF.

I'm leery of transferring the Ba'ul Sentry console to my JF, as there is a big bug on XBox (known for many years and left unfixed) where, once you activate it, you can't get out. If all your surrounding sentry ships get blown away, you're stuck and unable to reset and get new ones later on in the TFO, leaving your ship in a vulnerable state. I guess I can experiment with it and see what happens, but I'm not hopeful. Ever since they got bought by Deca, bug fixes for older problems seem few and far between. The camera cycling feature for bigger ships is also still a little wonky.

I had that bug as well a few times, but i found that one of the rep traits, the green one, seems to put you out of it, so it all works again.

But it is nice to see pc and console users enjoying the same bugs. ha

STO wisemen/women, besides the Kobali engineer you recruit from the mission Dust to Dust, is there any way to have a BOFF wear fed uniforms as a KDF character?

I won't say not to a free ship, plus a free T5 Kazon ship, but expect to see elite runs filled with T5-U ships pulling 3k and popping like bloons all over the place. Lol

Same thing happened with the recent free Ferengi ship, as almost every random elite tfo for at least 2 weeks had at least 2 in them, then they vanished when it became clear that lockbox ships are not instant elite tfo winners sone people thought. Lol

The Gold Nagus was originally a gift to a handful of select players back in 2016. Allegedly a decision by the publisher, not Cryptic, and it was controversial in the player base at the time. Some people think it was for players who spent a ton of money on the store, but some of them claim they barely spent anything.

The only qualifier that was given from Perfect World is that it was for players who provided "outstanding support" for the game

The recent giveaway was an act done by Former Community Manager Kael as a good bye gift to the community. He'd been trying for years to get it out to everyone. Its stats were also buffed.

I think I got it and sent it into the garage soon after. Interesting design, but nothing terribly special about it.

As for the original being given to Whales IE.Those who spent a lot in the CStore, it's 100% true as only one person in our Fleet got one back then; and you don't want to know how much he admitted to spending to that point when they did the 1st giveaway.

I played STO on PC way back in the beginning, more recently on console (PS5). I just started dabbling in the PC world again, and am low level (12 I think? Im flying in a nova class, that should tell you all you need to know, lol)

I was looking at the zen exchange and noticed it is completely empty whereas console has plenty in the 400ish DIL for 1 Zen range. But on PC? 0 offers for zen for dilithium. Is this a bug/glitch?

I've heard tell that PC players are a bit buggered on the dilithium exchange. Console nearly got to that point too.

The exchange works fine, it is just the backlog is about 6 weeks now, so it is no longer showing anything on the exchange, but it still working, and funny enough 2 days ago i just got 1000 zen for 500,000 dil that i put up in mid december.
