Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

Discovery now has officially tracked on the Nielsen Top Ten original streaming list. Doing close to what I expected for the show.

Week of April 8th -14th (Includes the final four days of episodes 1 and 2 for the full week), and the first 3 days of episode 3.
Ranked 10th - 257 million minutes viewed.

I know a Season 6 is too much to ask for, but I hope this will encourage Paramount+ to eventually greenlight a Discovery TV Movie, if the cash flow allows and the series finale leaves an opening for it.

Movistar have put the sipnosis and title of chapters 8 and 9.
Title and Sipnosis inside the spoiler in spanish.

Ep.8 Laberintos

La capitana burnham es puesta a aprueba para determinar si es merecedora de la tecnología de los Progenitores

Ep.9 Punto de Lagranje

Burnham dirige una misión encubierta para para recuperar la estructura que contiene el poder los Progenitores.

For the first week it premiered too. Not surprising at all.

I'd prefer seeing the data from April 5 to the 12th though.

It was clear that the writers had Bonnie and Clyde in mind when they created the characters of Moll and L'ak; however, they didn't understand these historical figures all that well. I am including a link to an article about this couple

Bonnie and Clyde: 9 Facts About the Outlawed Duo (biography.com).

One of the key things about this couple was that they weren't lone wolves committing crimes. They were the leaders of a gang and had close family connections. Both of these elements could have played into the narrative for season 5 of Discovery. The Discovery could have been in a race with gang of criminals who had deep connections in the criminal world, who had a wide variety of skills and experiences in their tool chest, and who were doing this for a variety of reasons, like maybe supporting a family as we know that the galaxy was in a deep slump after the Burn.

Instead, we get characters as plot devices. What we have seen of Moll, she acts like an amateur criminal, yet her criminal record shows that she is a professional criminal. And L'ak. It is not clear why he rejected the beliefs of his people, that they were a superior race, and why he is opposed to being the leader of the Breen Imperium.
I honestly don't think they were trying to repeat history hour for hour, event for event.

Their motivations are very clear, if she seems unprofessional now its because of emotions, and second because of this new Progenitor information that made attaining the goal more within reach.

Couldn't have troubled yourself to provide a translation?

Well, that's pretty much exactly what I expected. Mind you, my high school Spanish is good enough I got the gist of that.

I hope the execution lands, because they're not throwing any curves in terms of plot arc this year.

I have prefer left It original to don't made mistakes with the translation. Sometimes in Spain episode titles are invented quite happily.

The official English title on Memory Alpha is listed as 'Lagrange Point', a concept in astrodynamics attributed to the same Lagrange.

The new personal transporters seem very cool but how do they work? I assume they can be programmed for a few specific destinations that can be used like speed dial buttons on the phones. But sometimes they seem to read minds and take the person to wherever they want to go.

Let's see how much Spanish I remember from taking it in high school...

I think I got it.

I got most of it, except for the "put to the test" part, ironically.
