They need to stop reading the TrekBB.I think what annoys me is that they feel to say this is a matter of focus.

It’s a full face prosthetic.something about the Orions, especially the one that runs the salvage yard, looks off to me. Almost like their faces are bad CGI instead of just makeup. It bugs me more and more as I'm going through the season (on episode 8 now)
that explains part of it, although previous treks did full face stuff that didn't look as oddIt’s a full face prosthetic.
It's full face as one piece to make it easier to apply. It's not full face like past Trek.that explains part of it, although previous treks did full face stuff that didn't look as odd
Osira doesn't give me the same weird vibe though so that's good
From Variety:Is there a publicly available source for that?
The move is part of a wider official strategy of placing every current and former “Trek” TV series on Paramount Plus, including new seasons of “Star Trek: Discovery” and “Star Trek: Lower Decks” which are also set to premiere in 2021.
ThanksFrom Variety:
It's a dispute that fizzled out years ago but Alex Kurtzman explicitly said Discovery "brought the look and feel of our Star Trek movies to television" in this recent promo:
Paramount + will finally have 4K and HDR on original series.

Although it says the P+ originals will be in 4K, which is awesome, the article does not indicate if that change will include past seasons of CBSAA originals. After watching the first few episodes of Picard on blu-ray, I’d love to go back and rewatch all of this in 4K.
Guess we’ll find out in about a week.
