Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

I'd agree with your top three, then add the finale. I'd call those the good ones this season.

Maybe but unlike TOS if you only watch these and ignore the others you're left with so many discontinuities that the whole thing hardly makes any sense.

I'd have to think about a Top 13 for the series.. Best episode for me was Forget Me Not, and my least favorite was The Sanctuary (which I'd still rate a 7).

Was there a Ready Room episode this week?

Never mind---found it on CBS All Access but not on Facebook or YouTube as it usually is.................

Am I the only person who would have preferred that Burnham not get a promotion and Command of the Discovery in order to preserve the uniqueness of DSC being the only Trek series whose main character was not the person in charge of their series' titular ship/starbase?

Nope. I have enjoyed Season 3 well enough but the ending of the season about killed Discovery for me.

Well, do not despair, maybe she'll do something at the beginning of season 4 that'll get her demoted for the season.;)

It wouldn't be the first time...

That uniqueness was already eclipsed by Lower Decks and Picard and probably most of the future shows (Prodigy, Academy, maybe Section 31). Star Trek shows aren't about Captains and their ships anymore, and Discovery and Strange New Worlds are just odd throwbacks.

They had to promote her, it was starting to get silly that 'officer who is not captain is always right and makes better decisions than her own captain'
