Game Of Thrones Season 6 Discussion (Spoilers)

Genuine greatness and delusional madness are so very hard to discern from inside one's own mind, especially when the supernatural or divine seems to be working through you.

I for one am hoping for a Mad Queen to close the circle and end with Tyrion getting a new nickname so he and his brother can bond over their shared exploits of regicide.

:wtf:

Um...threatening to rape her to death is still a threat of raping to death no matter their motivation. She was well in her right to defend herself.
I don't disagree with the sentiment, but that wasn't an act of self defence. It was pre-meditated.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, mind. They certainly deserved it and a lot of people will be better off for it. But lets not mischaracterise this, or Dany. She's no victim, not any more.

That was a pretty great episode. The Hodor reveal was incredible. Is that in the books? Also, I would love to see Arya beat the shit out of that girl someday.

Not in the books. It will be interesting to see if thats something made up for the show, or something already planned by GRRM.

A lot to digest on this one. I may have to rewatch it to absorb it all.

Sansa should accept the offer of help from littlefinger. Obviously he can't be trusted but the priority should be on getting rid of Ramsey.

Bran storyline was a little confusing. So those children created the whitewalkers? The walkers don't seem to be grateful about that. How did that one whitewalker die? The children can kill the walkers by throwing sticks at them?

Once again the Tyrion storyline was the least interesting one. Hopefully when Dany gets back to Meereen with her new army thing will get more interesting. And she may get a navy too.

Seems like the Blackfish dude will be back

Hodor!!!!

If you watch the little "Inside the Episode" thing after the show (on HBOGO at least), they say this revelation came from a meeting with GRRM.

Pretty much everything in the show at this point, save the Ironborn storyline, is past what the books have shown us, or so diverged to different paths as to be unhelpful in prediction or explanation...

That was presumably tipped with obsidian, which no one presently north of the wall knew had that effect...

The Bran storyline was amazing. Epic stuff. Big movements. Big revelations. Wow. The White Walkers are by far the most interesting bit of the series to me, so this was great.

Surely the Children know that obsidian kills White Walkers, if they're the ones who made them. Also, wasn't that an obsidian knife they used to create the first one in the flash back? Is the Night King that original White Walker seen in the flashback?

I read that back in the day the Children fought a war with the humans for encroaching on their lands, but they eventually formed a truce to fight together against the WWs. So did they create the WWs in order to win their loosing war against the humans, but then they went rogue?

So, how come it took the White Walkers three #$#$ing seasons to get to Hardhome, yet they get to the Raven Tree in ten @#$#$ing minutes?

One thing that confused me. Was Bran intentionally doing a time travel whammy to imprint on Hodor, the way Rassilon did with the Master, or was it an accident?

OMG, the idea Bran can change things in past, in fact has changed things puts a whole different spin on things. Makes me immediately wonder why he didn't stop the chain of events that ended with Ned's beheading.

It would appear that he can "change" things in a predetermined paradox way. Anything he does already happened.
