Well, Trip told Reed that they were lucky to have toilets given the short amount of time they had to prepare when Reed was complaining about the lack of showers. That conversation was why I thought of that episode.

Explanations:
1) I guess they're just expected to hold it in: The shuttlepod is not equipped with toilet facilities and later in the series Trip didn't know what a poop bag was for, so I guess they're just supposed to hold in their solid body waste for up to TEN DAYS!!! I mean these people are crazy.
2) There wasn't much left to eat on the shuttle yet Archer didn't seem in a hurry to get his men back... Seriously!
3) The me too movement would have a field day with this episode... : Reed's way of objectifying T'Pol was beyond borderline.
4) T'Pol ears must have been burning...: Same thing.
5) Several days without toilet facilities!!!
