Spoilers Futurama Season 12 (9) July 29th

Yeah, that's a big surprise. I don't think I've ever seen Hulu do a full season release like that.

Does the 8P they have with the date at the end mean it's going up at 8 PM? Seems an odd time for a complete season to be dropped.

It says FXX & Hulu, so that might be the time they're showing the first episode or episodes on FXX.

Good news, everyone!

All of the episodes are here!

I'm only one episode in but it's already off to a great start. Fun adventure with a surprising call back to Anthology of Interest.

I also love that the opening caption is "Pace yourself!" They know what they've done.

Both episodes were a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure we saw Bender the same height as Donbot and some of the other robots in earlier episodes, but I'm willing to overlook since the rest of the episode was good.
Does anyone know if the numbers Farnsworth pulled were real environmental information from this year?

I've watched four episodes now.

The environmental episode was pretty heavy-handed but I enjoyed Bill Nye's return in lieu of Al Gore.

The third episode was okay but I'm mostly relieved Branch wasn't revealed to be another Fry duplicate, hence why he was supposedly Leela's soul mate.

The numbers episode was fantastic (and reminded me of one of my favorite Treehouse of Horror episodes) but I wish it had focused more on that world instead of balanced with Fry's painting b-story.

Well, Donbot is shorter than Bender but I think you meant Mousepad who was at that club and, yeah, he was always the same height as Bender, so that was a weird moment.

I can't speak on the raw numbers but the graph looks pretty accurate to some of the data I've seen before.

Only seen one so far, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. From what I gather, the new season has been getting great feedback from fans and critics.

I love the opening caption on ep 1: “PACE YOURSELF!”

Finished the season. Of the back six, my favorite whole episode was "Crab Splatter" and the surprisingly effective pairing of Leela and Zoidberg, which I don't think has been done before as the main plot. A sweet story and I hope its conclusion is maintained as part of the series status quo.

"Scared Screenless" was a close second and not just because of the return of the Waterfall clan! It was fun seeing Axl included with Dwight and Cubert's shenanigans. In fact, one of my favorite things about this season was seeing more of the Amy-Kif family and showing Amy in a more positive light as a mother than last season, even if the focus was on Kif's struggles with connecting to Axl.

I greatly enjoyed the Hermes/Dwight storyline of "Murderoni and I always love a trip to Central Bureaucracy, but I was not a fan of the Pizzagate storyline that lead into the bureaucracy adventure. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for mocking that stupidity, but it's an unfortunate reminder of how awful reality has become and I rather escape that reality when I'm watching Futurama.

Likewise, I enjoyed parts of "The Trouble with Truffles" but I wasn't a fan of the conclusion (but I get the reason for it).

"Wicked Human" was probably my least favorite. While I liked the initial premise of Farnsworth dealing with his frustration with religion in contrast to science (another stark reminder of reality), I wasn't enthralled by how the episode played out and the ultimate revelation fell flat for me (but, again, I get the reason for it).

"White Hole"...was different. I think I ultimately enjoyed its message and the open-ended mystery, but it didn't quite gel for me. It's one I'll have to chew on for a bit.

Episode 6 has a flintstones reference and I pointed
Damn, I missed it. What was the reference?

one of the religious leaders resembled the Grand Poobah of the Water Buffalos

I’ve still only watched two episodes, as I want to make the new season last. Totally agree on this point though. The second episode, though very solid, was kind of painful, reminding us of the climate apocalypse we’re hurtling toward but ignoring because the masses are so caught up in deeply entrenched and hateful political divisions.

I’m thoroughly depressed at the worsening state of the world, and look to Futurama as an escape from it, so I’m not so big on the episodes like this, and say the fast fashion and covid ones from the last couple of seasons (there were more, too). Though throughout its whole run Futurama has tackled contemporary issues.

That’s just a personal take though. I respect what the writers are doing. I just prefer to see more of the 31st century and less of the 21st.
