Fringe: "Olivia" - Sept. 23 - Grading & Discussion

As I recall, there was a picture of an old JFK on Walternate's desk in the season finale.
Hadn't she already known about the "Show Me" cards from last season?
oh my god, brunette olivia and blonde olivia both look so hot i cant decide which one is hotter.

Were they trying to imply Tom Cruise was on a TV show in the alternate universe or was it just some random reference to him to keep pushing the point that there's two of everything? Maybe the guy should've said he was watching Tom Cruise on 24 or something.

Well, I've thought it through and given the episode an 'A' for the review on my site. I really like how Olivia is, essentially, running away from two entities: Fringe division and the memories of faux-Olivia. Bubbles (aka Henry the Cabbie) was a great supporting character and I think we'll see more of him down the road. It'll be interesting to see how the "real" Olivia re-emerges -- at least a part of her has to, or else two seasons of character work will have been a complete waste of time.

Fringe managed to avoid everything that was wrong with the beginning of Season 2. They didn't try to do a FOTW episode or rehash everything that was going on. "Olivia" was suspenseful from the first to last second and I can't wait to find out how she's going to get herself out of this mess. I'm almost entirely convinced she's faking being the alternate Olivia, but I know there's the possibility she's not. This is the best thing I've seen on TV all week, and possibly the best episode of Fringe ever.

^ I'd put "Peter" ahead of "Olivia" because it showcased Walter, who is always exceptional. Plus it had the very cool '80s intro. But that isn't taking anything away from the premiere. It was excellent.

I suppose the latter. Peter is from the other universe. From the government's point of view, that makes him a security risk.
Just rewatched this again ala internet and noticed parts were cut from what i watched last nite. Right when she was talking about Massive Dynamics and bubbles phone call to his wife were all missing last night cause stupid news break.
People wonder why i hate live tv.
I missed that whole part and was wondering why she went to that park and when she ever talked about Peter. Stupid commericals and news breaks meant i miss a good chuck of this. Good thing i rewatched again.

She must have figured it out when she saw the tattoo and started having memories of Frank.
A rocking premiere...holy crap! She's brainwashed...or is she? Is she just playing along? Hmm....
I did, at the end, scream at Peter "Wrong girl!!!"
You have it wrong, right girl, wrong universe.
She did say a few times that the government was trying to convince her that she is someone she isn't, so I'd imagine she guessed the purpose of the injections and wasn't basing that solely on the "therapy sessions."
Andre Royo is certainly too awesome to use only once.
