Then again, isn't the audience supposed to be larger given the economy?
I watched Night at the Museum 2 last night. I have trouble imagining that Terminator could be any worse...I'm finding out tonight, though.

Just because the economy sucks you think people would still go to see bad movies? They would be more careful on what they spend their money on....

I guess you got to see all the good Trek after Nimoy's Spock. I only got to see the second-rate Trek until this movie.Compare this with Spock, who had fallen out of the public eye. Also, the Trek franchise had already gone through a long period of success unrelated to Nimoy or the Spock character.
Well, looks like Trek will probably make it to 200 million.
I doubt it'll be much higher than that, but 200 million doallars (domestic) would be a resounding success.
Not too damned bad--hopefully on the low side for Trek...

Going to add to Star Trek total for thrid time again tonight. It's a great movie, it's nice to nice see TREK doing well again at the box office since 2002.
One thing I am worried about is how long the DVD/BR will take to come out. I bet it has a longer than standard 100 day waiting period as they will probably want it as close to Xmas as possible.
We saw it for the 9th time tonight -- the first time not in IMAX. It was still good; the audience had a good time. The local multiplex is still running 10 shows a day in two theaters. I could use the DVD to save on ticket prices.
