Frasier

Agreed, Lorenzo Music has a voice thta was made for voice-over work. Didn't he also voice Peter Venkman in the Ghostbusters animated series?

Yes, he was the voice of Peter Venkman during the early seasons of The Real Ghostbusters. Although, in later seasons, he was replaced by Dave Coulier (America's Funniest People, Full House).

For me he will always be "Garfield". Sometimes a cartoon voice does such an amazing job that it's like they were born to be that character. Like Kevin Conroy as Batman.

I am now starting the final season! We've been tearing through these so quickly. We've watched five seasons in about a month. I'm looking forward to see if this last year is better than the norm like everyone has been saying. And also the absence of Daphne's Mom!

^ I don't know I'm watching it right now and Daphne is in a fairly tight dress.
But does it top Daphne after Niles demonstrates his "roundhouse kick".

While wearing a tight red miniskirt, Daphne winds up bent over a the table :)

I've got to say, I'm now late in the Eighth season, and I've enjoyed this series. Wish I watched more of it when it was originally on.

I think it's interesting how they redressed Frasier's apartment a few times to stand-in as other apartments in his building. Most series have a silly notion that every unit in an apartment building looks very different.

Speaking of which: I would have liked to see more of the Cam Winston character (Frasier's neighbor upstairs). Thought it was great for Frasier to have an enemy who was his equal.

Yeah me too, I also liked the uneasy "truce" they reached.

God, I hate Daphne's mom. How really felt that was a good idea to have an unsufferably annoying character? She's like a reject from "AbFab" or something.

I always loved Frasier. Well, I loved Daphne. I *liked* Frasier. :)

I'm halfway through season 2 on a marathon "watch the whole show from episode one to the end" and... man. Haven't hit a bummer yet. :)

I wish they would have used the Silicon Valley millionaire kid more. The one who bought the station and then duplicated Frasier's apartment as his own.

So, after 11 years shouldn't Martin have no longer needed Daphne? 11 years seems like a long time to go through PT.

^ Yeah, but she'd grown into being one of the family, and they were looking for ways to keep her on.

I'd prefer Roz. I like her looks, and there's one episode where, when they're talking about the most outrageous things they've done, she whispers hers in Martin's ear, and he just gets up and leaves the room, casting wiorried looks over his shoulder. That sounds like a fun woman! :)

And one of my favourite scenes: the one with Niles in the apartment by himself, which, iirc, starts off with him ironing a shirt and ends with him passed out and the couc on fire. Buster Keaton would have been proud of it.

Now, on a separate note, can someone put, in spoiler code, an explanation for the last few minuites of the final final epsiode? He's going in a new direction, heading a certain way... then suddenly he's in another place, possibly for love. I didn't get it. Was it a retrieval? Was it permanent? Enquiring minds would like to know.

Well, they could've just had her living with Frasier while she continues her practice elsewhere. I dunno. It just seems odd. I just watched the 10th season episode where some-sort-of PT "auditor" overlooks Daphne's care of Martin and whent he "auditor" takes over to show Daphne how it's done it just made we wonder. How is it Martin still needs PT and even the cane. (Though it seems like he doesn't rely on it as much.)

 Yeah.

But, yeah she does have a great, sultry look to her and just like a fun down-to-Earth woman. I think Niles described her best in calling her "comely."

Yeah, just something about her.

Though I wouldn't kick Daphne out of bed. ;)

Yeah that was a funny scene. He's, presumably, getting ready for a romantic evening with someone (Daphne? Mel?) on Valentine's Day night and he notices a wrinkle in his pants, he pulls out Frasier's ironing board and begins creasing the pants and finds a loose thread. He sets the iron down on the pants and goes to get some scissors to fix the the thread (being careful to walk with the scissors while holding them by the blade) he goes to fix the pants and ends up cutting himself. He passes out from the sight of blood briefly on Frasiers couch and comes-to finding he stained it. He goes to get a chemical stain-remover (all the while the iron is still on the pants) to clean the couch; notices the blood again, passes out again, this time knocking the stain-remover on Frasier's couch. By now the pants have started smoldering, Eddie barks, waking niles up who runs to take care of the fire, getting proppeled wildly around the room by a chemical exstinguisher (hitting everything BUT the fire), eventually, somehow, the pants end up on the couch, which sets the acetone on fire, so Niles puts this larger fire out by dumping the dinner on them, he then goes to open the front door to fan-out the smoke, notices his bloody finger again, and passes out.

------------

One of the funniest episodes, one I remember from when it first aired, the one with Patrick Stewart guest-starring.

They dealt with that in a great episode. Martin is "cured" and doesn't need Daphne anymore. They all face her leaving. Just before she goes, Martin re-injures his back (or hip) again.

I remember that episode. She was around for several years before that and remains, again, for several years after.
