Franchise Only Dialogue You Use In Real Life...

Farscape One

This might sound like an odd topic, but I was wondering if anyone uses dialogue from episodes in regular situations.

For example, when I attempt something and it goes very badly, my wife will say, "Shaka...". Depending on how mad I am at the scenario , I'll either continue to try angrily or say, "When the walls fell."

There have been a couple times when my nephew will just swallow his food whole without chewing, and I'd say, "Teeth are for chewing." I always chuckle a bit after saying it, and he has never figured out why I do. I have yet to explain it to him... I'm keeping the joke running for as long as I can. I did have to tell my wife, though, but then she remembered. And laughed. Because that single line of dialogue always makes me laugh whenever I rewatch that episode... or think about Pakleds.

What about the rest of you folks? Any dialogue you use?

Temba, his arms open.

When I finish a class then sometimes I say “Let’s get the Hell out of here” to my students.

None of them get it, but I do, so… worth it.

If I get into an empty lift I always say “Bridge” as the doors close.:alienblush:

If I'm in a lift by myself I like to hold an imaginary handle until it stops at my floor, TOS style...

I actually use a lot of 'Captain' talk in class too.

"Okay people, listen up..."

"Let's go to work!"

etc.

Or predicting answers in IELTS Listening Tests.... "Context is for Kings..."

Sadly there's no Brig for me to send students to and no way to call for Security.

BONUS:

As a Doctor Who fan I tend to say "Hello, Old Girl..." when I see my blue motorbike (and my motorbike is blue, chosen because of the TARDIS). I have also been known to lovingly stroke her dashboard when I feel she has done a good job...

We are mental aren't we?
