Starborn Dragon
Captain
I really enjoy this movie, but what some people don't seem to realize is that there's an extremely critical point in the movie in which things could change drastically and none of that had to happen.
You see, this point is when the Sheriff decided to push Rambo.
All the Sheriff had to do was let the guy get something to eat and he would have been on his way in a peaceful manner. Nothing would've happened.
But the Sheriff let his ego reign and came to the wrong conclusion about him based on nothing more than how he looked.
If the Sheriff had just left him alone there would have been movie.
I also view this movie as a study of male ego, with Galt being the absolute worse of the cops.
Galt tried to kill Rambo just because Rambo was a better person than he was and Rambo got his goat.
I like to think that if this were real and it came to an actual lawsuit, the cops would be in a lot of legal trouble. They were the ones who were harassing him to no end because of nothing more than bigotry and ignorance.
