For those unaware, they're actually already doing redux origin stories that change continuity. Green Lantern: Secret Origin recently finished, and in a few months Geoff Johns is at it again with Superman Secret Origins, which will recreate the early days of Clark as Superboy/Superman. I haven't read the GL one yet so I don't know how much it changes things.
