"Dude, fuck off, I'm totally scoring here."
Nothing like: 5-AM, you hear thunder, and just as you're dozing back to sleep, there's a loud clap of thunder followed instantly by one of the cats bolting from the bed, planting all four feet on your belly button as the springboard.![]()

I’m so sorry. It’s awful to have to say goodbye to such good friends. It's hard to write this now - I'm still reeling from it all but...
Last week, I took one of my old cats to the vet to check out his right rear leg. It was swollen at the knee and, of course, he had been chewing at it and made a mess of it. I suspected bone cancer and I was - unfortunately right.
Today, I took him back to the vet to have him put to sleep. I still can't believe he's gone. Both he, and is "sister" (been together since kittens - almost 16 1/2 years) have both been the sweetest cats. Never bite you, always easy to get a purr out of (look at "The Bandit" sideways and he would purr - yes, the other one is "Smokey" - they earned those names).
It was absolutely painful to watch the light go out of his golden eyes...
