Yes. My sister abandoned her psycho kitten at my Mom's. She put our very gentle golden retriever on her bed and brought in the cat. She attacked him ( 4 pound cat vs 120 lb dog). It took weeks of him gently pushing her away before she mellowed out around him. They became the best of friends.
