Feline Follies

He was weighed at the vet. He's always been about 18/19 pounds--he's a big kitty; Maine Coons are broad and tall. But we changed his diet from canned to dry food last winter because he wasn't eating his food. Well, he weighed in at 22 pounds! Yikes. The vet says he should be 18 pounds. She wanted us to get prescription food ($80s a bag!) but as I'm barely working at all, it was WAY too expensive. She found me a much cheaper alternative I can buy retail---so Junior is getting one small can of wet food for breakfast and supper, and a small scoop (less than a 1/4 of cup) of low-carb dry food when we put him in his room for the night. And NO snacks. I'm terrible about letting him have scraps, lick the yogurt lids, etc. No more.

Meet Minger who belongs to my wife's adoptive grandmother. He's about 6 months old and like many Siamese thinks his shit don't stink :)

Was originally going to be named Ming (in honour of his predecessor who sadly died in a house fire a few years back) but then it was discovered Ming had a thing hence the name change :)

Beautiful! Er--handsome!

Ming can be a guy's name, too. Ever heard of Ming the Merciless? :D

And of course, his shit don't stink!
