Favourite Cancelled Series

I see. What an A**WIPE!

Not that I was heavily invested in it, but this insipid cuntstain also pulled the plug on Enterprise and rewarded himself a huge salary when shares for CBS plummeted a whopping 65 percent. He's cut from the same cloth as those loony dumbshits who imploded the banks and ploughed America into Iraq.

I'm old and there are probably a lot of cancelled series that I enjoyed at the time but have long since forgotten.

See, here's some now.
Due South
Best Of The West
Matt Houston

I'm also remembering Hardcastle and McCormick. That was a good show that didn't last very long.

There was a spinoff show with Enos? Really?
I know I would only have been 12/13 but I missed that one.
Would be funny to see it now.

Yeah it only ran for maybe 13 episodes, if that many. The weird thing about it was the Enos went to LA to become a cop and he was suddenly a lot smarter. When that show failed and he later returned to The Dukes of Hazard, he regained his former "dipstick" status.

I was wanting Enterprise to continue as season four was good

Enterprise (aka Star Trek: Enterprise) is getting waaaay more mention than Star Trek (aka Star Trek: The Original Series -- you know, "no bloody A, B, C, or D." Or X, for that matter).
It's kind of hard to imagine a fourth season of TOS and given how godawful S3 was, I'd say just letting it rest and then picking up with the movies later was a better option than watching it devolve into garbage even more...

ENT was actually getting good in S4. That's what annoyed me about the cancellation.

I didn't mention Farscape either because I'd say it had a good run.

You know, I think it was only later that fandom came to agree that S3 of TOS was weak. At the time of the cancellation, it was a HUGE trauma. And then there was no more Trek (unless you count TAS) until 1979 -- 10 years later. So, I'm basing my argument that it was a wrenching cancellation on my experience of the event and it's long aftermath, not on how the movies and later series changed the picture.

But I'm just a crotchety old fart...

You know, I like Jeff Goldblum - I DO - but Raines convinced me that he works best in small doses. While I enjoyed the episodes we got, I wasn't surprised it didn't last, and I wasn't terribly disappointed when there were no more to watch.

I'll add Cover Me and Standoff to the list.

Since 2005 Leslie Moonves has done little else but fuck things up, fuck things up and getting grotesque pay cheques for fucking things up. I can understand Jericho getting the bullet, but a hit series like Shark?! He's intentionally running The Unit into the ground as well, if it's recent dismal ratings in sabotaged timeslots are anything to go by.

Back to You
Boomtown
Farscape
Crusade
Journeyman
Justice
Shark
Six Degrees
Standoff
Enterprise
Touching Evil

Actually didn't Jericho get good ratings its first season?

Jericho 1st season got an average of 9.5 million and the pilot was I think 11.6 million with the 1st half ending at around 10 million. The 2nd half which was followed by a massive break dipped and spent most of the season at 8.5 million though the finale got just under 8 million.

All the extra stuff like Tivo etc made CBS bring it back so they didn't lose all there audience they watched in different ways.

Has to be Sliders, the patron saint of cancelled series. After all these years there's no other series I've longed to have some kind of revival, whether it be a reboot or a tv movie. Although the series had it's rough points throughout, there's simply too much potential in the concept to let it go.

Why has Leslie Moonves progressively gotten more unfathomably incompetent in recent years? Where is the DVD for Season Two of Shark?

I imagine if he continues to get his way that they're in the same place as season three of Shark. i.e. nowhere to be found

You can't be serious. Sliders became unwatchable faster than either EFC or Andromeda!

I think people will be adding PD to this list, the curse strikes again of the AXE.
