Favourite Cancelled Series

I'm old and there are probably a lot of cancelled series that I enjoyed at the time but have long since forgotten. Like many here I can list Star Trek:TOS, Enterprise, and Jericho.

But honestly the first series that popped into my head was a spinoff of The Dukes of Hazard starring Sonny Shroyer as Enos. It didn't last long, I just remember enjoying it a lot at the time. Now chances are, if I were to go back and watch it today, I might find myself cringing a lot.

There was a spinoff show with Enos? Really?
I know I would only have been 12/13 but I missed that one.
Would be funny to see it now.

I'm sure I'll think of others but, Farscape and Firefly come quickly to mind. I know we got Serenity for Firefly but, it didn't exactly tie everything up did it? Same with Farscape, sure we got the mini-series, but that didn't exactly wrap everything up either. Of course, with the comics coming out and the webisodes supposedly still on they way, maybe it will but, it won't be the same.

Probably because Quantum Leap made at least some effort to "end" the series so it didn't feel as abrupt as the show just ending and that's that. Can't speak for A-Team, like most 80's shows I have only vague memories of that show and no sense of how or when it ended.

YES! Reboot and Round The Twist. Excellent choices. I think if Raccoons got another shot, they'd edit out Cyril Sneer's cigars and make him a green friendly unicorn or something just to be all PC about it.

I'm not sure whether it was cancelled or not, but Captain Scarlet (the original supermarionation one) ended rather abruptly after two seasons... Then again, did Gerry Anderson ever manage to finish a show? All the ones I can think of just left you hanging after the season two finale. Damn him :p

Enterprise (aka Star Trek: Enterprise) is getting waaaay more mention than Star Trek (aka Star Trek: The Original Series -- you know, "no bloody A, B, C, or D." Or X, for that matter).
It's kind of hard to imagine a fourth season of TOS and given how godawful S3 was, I'd say just letting it rest and then picking up with the movies later was a better option than watching it devolve into garbage even more...

ENT was actually getting good in S4. That's what annoyed me about the cancellation.

I didn't mention Farscape either because I'd say it had a good run.

I would happily sacrifice CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, Survivor AND Big Brother if I could just get one final season for some goddamn resolution on Carnivale :(

Very true. If Enterprise had gotten 3 more seasons and were able to keep up the season 4 quality it would of been one of my favorite Treks.

^The worst thing about John Doe was the cliffhanger. That was just mean.
I totally agree. Mostly because I read how the writers said that if they had known they were being cancelled they would have done more to finish things off. But Fox had given them the feeling that they would be approved for another season. I think I must have had it blocked out of my mind because I now remember how much that pissed me off! :scream:
