Favorite Trek Toys you had as a kid.....

I had a bunch, but the ones I distinctly remember were three plastic dolls that came out I think around the time of FC. I had a Picard, a Riker, and a Borg drone. They each had a button on their back, and would say a line if you pushed it. Picard would say, in this order, "Shields up! Red alert! Energize!" I'd press that button so much it probably drove my parents crazy.

I also had a little plastic Enterprise-D. The top of the saucer flipped open to reveal a bridge set with tiny removable Picard and Riker figures. My brother had a similar toy from the same line, but his was the Defiant.

I had both the Galoob TNG action figures and Playmates TNG actions figures. I sent my Galoob Riker on many dangerous missions.

I had Micromachines, and a load of the Playmates figures (mostly the TNG crew), along with the Enterprise D with the four sound effects. I loved that thing to death! Still have it in a box somewhere at my parents I think. The top of the saucer went yellow - is there any way to fix that?

I mostly played with the Innerspace toys the OP mentioned. They were affordable and I built most of the Enterprise-D out of cardboard. Bridge, Engineering, sick bay, shuttle bay, battle bridge, corridors, cloaking device room (yeah it had a cloak like the Defiant, and never crashed in Generations ;)).

I had the TNG phaser, tricorder, communicator, TOS phaser and communicator, and the TMP phaser I think. That's the one thing I still get - the DST TWOK phaser and communicator are awesome! 10 year old Tomalak would have killed for those.

Don't worry I'll get you them.

In the late 70's, there wasn't much in the way of really good Trek toys. Certainly not like the 90s when all the Playmates stuff hit.

I guess, with the limited availability, my favorites were my TMP Mego action figures (still have them) and TMP Bridge playset. I also had some die-cast ships of the Enterprise and Klingon K't'inga, but can't remember who manufactured those. Dinky, maybe? I think Ertl was later...

Still have all my Galoob TNG action figures, as well as the phaser and die cast Enterprise! I think the Enterprise got the biggest work-out. My kids play with them now. Pretty awesome.

The DS TWOK phaser is my favorite. I just modified it using some micron pens so the blinking LED lights on top are colored instead of being bright white. A little more screen accurate now.

I've got the TMP version as well, that has the coloured lights. I thought the white lights was accurate for the TWOK phaser?

If you look close on the film, they are more yellow-orange on the side with 4 (THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!!!!), and certainly not the harsh white in the current toy. I took some creative license with the other two lights and made them red and blue. Not sure you ever clearly saw those on screen.

ST: TMP toys were before my time but that bridge playset looks pretty freakin' cool.

I still have the tricorder.
My favorite Trek toy was the Controlled Space Flight.

I had that too.

A good guide to that era:

I had the Mego action figures in the 70s and totally wore them out. When they re-released the Retro Megos some years ago I got most of those.

As a kid me and my friends did build our own playset using cardboard and wood which we painted. It doesn't exist any more except as small leftovers that are kept in storage. I was quite neat and I wish I had a picture of it.

I also had a phaser squirt gun.

I had the Mego bridge set and a baby blue phaser in 75-76 that had flying disks that you connected to the front and spun. When you pulled the trigger it would shoot off like a round propeller blade.........lost it at a high school football game. I was so sad. ;-)

It's funny. I probably have more Trek toys and merchandise now than I did as a kid! :)
That's probably because when we were kids there weren't as many Star Trek toys as there are now.:bolian:

I had the MEGO figures and plastic Enterprise Bridge set. Also various coloring books. Oh and those blue walkie talkies that came in the shape of communicators. Fun fact: in the 90s, Gates McFadden and (I think) Jane Curtain did a pilot and they used those in the show.

I never really played with anything. I had some action figures and a really cool bust from First Contact that broke in a move.
