Favorite DS9 one-liners?

Some lines from Odo --

Odo to Vic: What does fun have to do with Major Kira?

Odo to female changeling: The Kira I know has far too much regard for our friendship to lie to me, even for the best of reasons.

Odo to Kira: You have a personal code that’ s always mattered more…and I’m sorry to say you’re in slim company.

Odo to Kira: Only important thing is not to betray yourself.

Odo to Garak: You humanoids…you’re all obsessed with these convoluted mating rituals.

It would have been interesting if DS9 had allowed Odo and Kira to remain friends, rather than forcing them into a romantic relationship both of the actors firmly opposed.

Full disclosure: I have a book of Star Trek quotes, these aren’t off the top of my head….

Garak to Bashir: You must be incensed…in fact, if I were in your shoes, I’d grab a bottle of champagne and shoot me.

Dax to Virak’kara: No sleep, no food, no women…no wonder you’re so angry – after 30 or 40 years of that, I’d be angry, too.

Quark to Larell: Think of me as Morn….I can’t believe I just said that.

Nog to Leck: This is the 8th run-through and you haven’t been able to hit a single Jem’Hadar…..and you shot Moogie!

Brunt to Quark: I have a thousand ideas of how to defile your remains….want to hear my favorites?

Odo to Quark: Only you would consider barstools to be a form of artistic expression.

Worf to Dax: That is a joke, I get it….it is not funny, but I get it.

Dax to Virak’kara: No sleep, no food, no women…no wonder you’re so angry – after 30 or 40 years of that, I’d be angry, too.
That whole exchange... I think that Dax was probing Virak for information on his species. I wouldn't be surprised if she knew or suspected half of what he told her. She just made it look like a friendly conversation.

Yes, she should have known the basics about them. In-universe, I say she was trying to relax them by getting them to talk about their lives. In our world, the lines served to remind the new or only occassional viewers what the Jem Hadar were like.

The next italicized line from The Wire always struck me as funny:

BOHEEKA [on monitor, to quark]: You and your damn requisition code. It's for classified bio-technology, Quark. Even the cursed number is classified!

Ah, from "PAST PROLOGUE".

Sisko delivered those kind of threats well. Possibly my favorite is his warning to Bashir in "CARDASSIANS" after the subspace chat with Dukat.

Sisko: "Oh, don't apologize. It's been the high point of my day. Don't do it again."

Kira Nerys to Kira Meru: We all have scars…of one kind or another.

Kira to Sisko: I have a bad habit of telling the truth…even when people don't want to hear it.

Kira to Odo: That’s why I’ve learned to respect your opinion, Constable…never any pretense.

Season 3: Facets
Quark: What can I get you, Nog?

Nog: Oh.
A root beer.
It's an Earth drink... something they serve at the Academy.

Quark: A root beer.
This is the end of Ferengi civilization.

Well, whether this is a one-liner depends upon how you punctuate it(!) but this is probably my favourite comment in the whole of DS9:
"The only real question is whether you believe in the legend of Davy Crockett or not - if you do, then there should be no doubt in your mind that he died a hero's death... if you do not believe in the legend, then he was just a man, and it does not matter how he died." - Worf, "Once More Unto the Breach"

In Second Skin where Sisko wants Garak to tell him about Kira being taken to Cardassia and tell him members of the Bajoran government want him off the station but if he helps them it would go a long way towards making a case for him staying.
Garak says that’s extortion to which Sisko looks at him with a dead pan expression and replies “Yes, it is”.

Sisko to Worf: Let’s just say DS9 has more shades of gray….and Quark definitely is a shade of gray. --"Hippocratic oath”

Ee’Char to O’Brien: Well, after 6 years in a place like this, you either learn to laugh or you go insane…I prefer to laugh.
--“Hard Time”

Sisko to Jake: It takes courage to look inside yourself…and even more courage to write it for other people to see. –"Nor the battle to the strong”
