Eurovision Song Contest 2012

Well you're missing a performance by all the past winners (from the last 5 years), but since you said you don't normally get on board with them I doubt that'll matter.

I thought that part was awesome! Specially Lena and Alexander Rybak. Good fun!!!
And then Waterloo, haha..

yes, the performance was the only good part today ... I wonder if anyone of the 10 "lucky" contributors will make a good place in the final, though Ukraine really has a good chance for being the football hymn ...

So did I!

Anyway, poor show at Netherlands, Slovenia and Bulgaria missing out, same with Slovakia to an extent I suppose.

Sweden, Serbia and Norway were great qualifiers, as well as Macedonia, that was a surprise, but very welcome!

The quality wasn't very impressive tonight and most of the Eastern European countries had terribly generic entries. Oh, and the Netherlands were just awful.
Turkey was charmingly bizarre. Need some amusing entries in the final.

Sweden was okay... first time in years that I don't hate the Swedish entry (I hate that boring Scandinavian pop.). Now if she manages to treat her swollen tongue and learns to articulate I'll probably like it on Saturday. Her voice is good and the song has potential.

Hey, cool, Turkey made it to the final. the only other memorable song from this semi-final was Georgia for me (I listened to the YouTube playlist a couple of days ago).

Hmm, a lot of dubious entries got through tonight than from the other semi. I'm happy to see Sweden and Macedonia through, and Bosnia too sort of. I wanted the Netherlands, Belarus and Slovakia to make it through though, which is a shame. Thought they would have mixed things up a bit, rather than have lots of bland songs.

Oh well! I look forward to Satuday. :D

I really enjoyed the performances from the last five Eurovision winners! I thought it was very well done, and Waterloo was perfect at the end!

I think the 2nd semi final was also good:cool:
Some good song and very nice performances.
(I guessed 7/10 this time..)
I was so terribly sad and disappointed that my personal favorite Slovenia did not go to the final:(
Such a shame:sigh::scream:!

I was very happy that Serbia, Bosnia, Estonia and Macedonia went to the final. They all had very good live performances and where vocally pretty much perfect:techman:
IMHO, Norway and Turkey did not really deserve to be in the final:rolleyes:
Both where vocally bland..and honestly quite terrible.
Plus Norways much praised "great dancing" did not impress me at all.
Malta going for finale was a big surprise,
though I have to admit that they performed very well.
Lithuania is still bland as hell as a song..but if was well sung.

It was a good idea and it was nice to see them on stage:)
Though Dima Bilan had forgotten how to sing his own song and was horribly off-tune..and Lena was not much better either.
Thankfully Marija and Rybak did perform much better.
(Molitva is still a very good song..)
I think the "Waterloo"-cover was not certainly the best I have heard.
I personally preferred the program from the 1st semi better:cool:

I think one of these will win the ESC 2012:

  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Italy
  • Serbia
  • Russia

Lets see how it will go..:bolian::)

Is it bad that I find the traditional Azerbaidjani music more interesting than the songs we'll hear later?

Nope, when it was in Finland, I thought that Apocalyptica who was playing during the break was more interesting than everything I heard this evening.

Haha, when Peter Urban describes an authocratic regime it sounds kind of light and funny.

Hey, that's actually pretty good. I like the UK's song better the second time round. But I think they'd have better chances if they had someone else sing it.

That was a little boring but it's better for him to be at the start of the evening, that would be totally forgotten in the middle of the show.

Oh no, my ears, Albania.
The title "suus" isn't good for francophones (sounds like suce = suck).
