Eureka: Final Season (Discussion, spoilers, etc.)

Yes, but Parrish also had feelings for Holly and is mourning her loss, just as Fargo is, so there is some reason for him to feel sympathy for the guy.
That was how I saw the scene too. I don't think him feeling sorry for Fargo was any kind of inconsistency, it just showed that he wasn't totally heartless.

Tonight, Episode 5:05 Jack of All Trades

Jack starts swapping bodies uncontrollably and Allison must help before Carter's consciousness disappears for good.

This could be good or bad. It's tough to do a really good body-switching episode. There's been some awful ones.

Farscape had what I think is the best ever.

Last night's episode was good. Allison in her skimpy underwear was nice, jo in the the shower was to. :)

Well, that was fairly entertaining. They didn't go as over the top as I thought they would. Some typical sexual misunderstandings.

The episode does earn bonus points, however, for the Allison in her Underwear scene.

Good Lord!

Yes, I must agree that Allison is a heart-stopper. :bolian:

It was a fun episode; it's always amusing to watch actors adopt each others affectations and they all did a good job. Carter and Fargo were especially good.

I hope Tembi Locke isn't going to disappear from the show. I've liked her since Sliders and it's nice having her on Eureka.

The most interesting thing about the episode, though, was the bit about Holly still being present in the VR simulator. That was a bit odd as a throwaway plot point. I have a feeling they're going to get back to that.

I loved the great impersonation Ferguson (?) did of "Fargo in Jack's" body.

I was a little shocked at "Allison in Jack" pretending to BE Jack and telling Jo he never had feelings for her... but then I realized if Jo REALIZED she had just confessed this TO Allison, then she would have been crushed and probably left Eureka.

At least, that was my fanwrankle. ;)

At first I thought everyone else was doing a better job imitating Carter and that Colin Ferguson was kind of flat. Then I realized it's just because Carter has a lot more unique mannerisms. He's easier (and more fun) to do.

Any reason it couldn't be Senator Wen? In fact, wouldn't it be more likely to be Senator Wen? Not that the gang would know this, of course.

I've been trying to figure out exactly what Beverly did to her. "Trapping someone eternally in VR" sounds great until you're stuck with having to keep their physical body alive. Maybe Beverly just digitized her consciousness and killed the body.

On a side note, I've been trying to figure out if there was ever supposed to be a real Astraeus mission in the first place. Seems like Wen dreamed the whole thing up as an excuse to abduct the crew. As opposed to some other party coming up with a real Astraeus mission and Wen hijacking it. Which is more likely?

If there was a real mission, shouldn't they be getting back to it?

Okay, Fargo is second most fun.

I was a little shocked that Jo would say something like that in the first place. Seemed pretty contrived and out of character to me.

I told you they were going to find some Sci-Fi way to bring her back....

they need an empty body to put Holly in.

They could ask Beverly to had over Senator Wen's husk?

Oh Golly.

Mina Na and Neil Grayston get to get jiggy?

Sweeet.

But then he's already the love of Kavan Smiths life.

Fargo is SARAH!

Why does no one tell me these things!?

He's the fricking mouth-breather from Wonderfalls!!!??

I miss Caroline Dhanveras.

She's so dreamy.

I had the same thought. I was wondering if the Eurekans were going to find out what Beverly did to Wen, and this makes it seem pretty likely IMO.

I still think it will involve the timeline somehow. And Doctor Old Spice.

And they definitely must address the issue of Senator Wen. There must be another VR setup somewhere, and Beverly must be keeping her body alive. I think.
