Eureka: Final Season (Discussion, spoilers, etc.)

I'm really going to miss Eureka. Colin Ferguson really brought a passion to the role of Jack Carter, and there is great chemistry among the cast. They really feel like a small-town family.

Once Warehouse 13 signs off (hopefully in the far distant future), I'll likely be done with SyFy.

Tonight, Episode 5:02

The Real Thing. "Just because it's not real, doesn't mean it's not dangerous."

What will we learn about about Beverly's evil plot against the crew of Astraeus?

Stay tuned!

:techman:

I hope the virtual reality thing doesn't last too long; we don't have that many episodes left.

I agree. This is the final season, so I'd rather spend as much time in the real Eureka as possible, not an illusion created by the bad guys.

I thought that was really good.

They explained a lot, which made the story more convincing (like why they fast-forwarded 4 years in the VR environment).

And then we got the big reveal....damn that She-Devil!

They are figuring it out pretty fast. It will be interesting to see how they resolve the whole thing.

I doubt it. There's a reason they picked someone not listed in the main cast.

I, too, hope this VR thing doesn't last all season.

Damn, that was horrible. Poor Holly. :( That senator is a stone cold killer-- they could have unplugged her from the simulation without killing her, or put her VR character into a coma or something.

Judging from next week's previews, the VR thing will be coming to an end soon-- looks like they'll be sending Carter inside.

Missed last week's premiere but caught the last half last night before the newest ep. I HOWLED :scream: when it looked like they had rebooted yet again (can't the Sheriff and Alison catch a break???) and then HOWLED when I realized they were in a virtual reality!

LOVED the previews for next week and Jack's response when he's told who his virtual reality version is "involved with". :rommie:

Noticed a mistake on rewatching. When Jack, Kevin and Jenna are eating lunch and Andy comes to give them the news, Jenna appears to be the older version from the VR. It's a little hard to make out, as she only appears in one shot, but that ain't a two-year-old sitting there. Mrs. Silvercrest pointed that out.

I really enjoyed this episode. I was already growing suspicious of the Senator, but I did not expect them to kill Holly. I liked her, so I am sad to to see her go. Can't wait for next week's episode.

^^ Heh.

You know, I thought that. They showed her just at the beginning of the conversation, but never again. I meant to rewind to check, but I forgot.

Well it is the final season so some people could die.

So the "Kill Wesley Crusher" crowd may finally get their wish...

:guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

Come to think of it, he does seem adept at playing arrogant roles not just in Eureka, but also in Big Bang Theory and The Guild.

I like his role on Eureka. He and Fargo are like Farnsworth and Wernstrom when they were young.

And I really liked him on Big Bang Theory. He's the perfect person to torment Sheldon.

That other show I've never heard of.
