Eureka: Final Season (Discussion, spoilers, etc.)

^Lois was going under cover for a story, so she used a device provided by Superman to change her looks.
Ah, the old Kryptonian Ethnicity Modulator. I should have guessed. :D

A shame it never popped up on Smallville or Lois & Clark . . .

"Tonight! Gina Torres guest-stars as Lois Lane."

Lizzy Caplan played a metamorph who was in love with Lana in Smallville and replaced Clark to lesbianlly make out with the wide eyed bruenette extensively.

Close?

Lionel Luthor Body Swapped into Clarks body and tried to shag Ma Kent with her own sons wang.

Less close.

Nothing comes to mind for Lois and Clark

Tonight, Episode 5:10 The Honeymooners

"A mysterious file leads Jo to uncover a spy ring inside Eureka with devastating consequences, and disturbs Allison and Jack's less-than-perfect honeymoon plans."

The preview on the SyFy website looks pretty ominous.

Stay tuned!

:techman:

grumble grumble.

it's called MAD.

Grace can get these other dimensional monkeys locked up in kennels under Area 51.

What's worse?

A spy or an invader form another universe who lies.

Mutually assured Destruction.

Our honeymoon was sorta like that, but with fewer disasters. My folks had a cabin in the wilds in upstate NY. My wife didn't seem to mind.

Jack was dense and Allison was a dick.

Allison was a massive Dick.

Do or do not do, there is no whinge, pout and bitch.

I'm not quite sure why they felt the need to turn the final episodes of Eureka into a serial. It's not an open-ended serial so it may not be a catastrophically bad ending. But, as with most serials, the average quality of the episodes has dropped, because they're all incomplete. That's what they decided to do. Either you're invested enough to persevere to the end, or not.

Wow, glad to see the cabin of the deceased Captain Lucas Desiree (Ret.) survived the multiple lightning strikes, and has found new life as Jack and Ally's honeymoon getaway...

The major reveals in this episode were rather predictable. They telegraphed Grace being the spy and as soon as we found out she was protecting the identity of another spy, I knew it was going to be Henry. However, I think that's part of Eureka's charm, so it's not a criticism. I love shows like Lost and Battlestar Galactica with long, complicated plot twists (I even love that they didn't answer all of them). At the same time, I also like shows where I can just enjoy the straightforward nature of the narrative. I dislike the phrase, "turn my mind off," since I don't do that with Eureka, but at the same time, I don't have to over-analyze everything, either.

I do think the reveal of Henry being the other spy makes perfect sense. It adds to why Grace was upset over finding out that Henry was not "her" Henry and why, after the NPC Henry was threatening, so had trouble readjusting. Her relationship with Henry must have been built on unshakable trust. As Guy Gardener said, it's MAD. Also, Henry must have trusted Grace fully to have taught her everything she knew. So, after years of that, Grace suddenly was put into a situation where (perhaps) the one person in the world she could trust without question, suddenly was someone she couldn't trust.

But we're still left with the fact that Henry worked with Beverly, which is very bizarre. I'm wondering if this will have ramifications that will lead to the need to restore the timeline.

Anyway, Holly seems to be finally okay. They weren't very specific about the nature of her new body. Is it biological, or is she an immortal android?

Allison was indeed way too bitchy in this episode. I hope she's not going to go all wifey on Jack.

Every adventure Carter had in the first two or three seasons, his fall back tech guy wasn't Henry.

It was little Kevin.

The super genius Sherrifs assistant.

Remind me?

Wasn't henry on the outs with GD before Carter showed up?

Which is why he had quit his lab and only worked at the garage?

Jack never brought him back into the GD family.

Hmm?

How does the new timeline effect the death of his first wife who was a stitch in time too?

Not really. Remember, Our Henry teamed up with Original Beverly in trying to discover how the artifact was affecting Kevin behind Allison's back. So Nu-Beverly and Alt-Henry finding common ground on how GD has strayed from it's original purpose is actually plausible. Also, while we know Original Beverly was very, very bad, we really don't know if Nu-Beverly crossed the line the way O-B did (she did murder someone back in season one). While she's done some awful things in service to her cause, -brain implanting and bodyjacking, we don't know how bad she is compared to her other incarnation. Alt Henry would have no qualms about joining her in putting GD back on track.

^^ That occurred to me, as well.

True. These are all valid points. nuBeverly obviously wasn't happy with the Senator killing Holly and visited her own brand of justice on her.
