Fans have no say in canon, or the official body of work because *checks notes* fans have no official role in the production of the show.
Canon is the collected works of the franchise. Your likes and dislikes are irrelevant to canon. Various retcons are irrelevant to canon. Canon remains the movies and tv shows produced by the owners of the IP, be they Desilu, Paramount or CBS. As consumers we don’t get a say in canon, just in what things in the franchise we like or dislike.Let me guess whatever the current people in charge says is canon...correct?
