Let me guess whatever the current people in charge says is canon...correct? 😏
Canon is the collected works of the franchise. Your likes and dislikes are irrelevant to canon. Various retcons are irrelevant to canon. Canon remains the movies and tv shows produced by the owners of the IP, be they Desilu, Paramount or CBS. As consumers we don’t get a say in canon, just in what things in the franchise we like or dislike.

So the Star Wars Droids are part of the film canon..? 😂 The Holiday Special.??
franchises have de-canonized things before.

Still not how canon works.
What happens when Canon disagrees with Canon? Later canon takes precedence, the scriptwriters all had access to Gene's character guide and Spock's was being revised almost show by show by DC Fontana. If a later show violates it, it's bad scriptwriting or being done to drive the plot....like the card game Fluxx, the new canon still takes precedence!

This poll/discussion is specifically directed to those who has seen substantial amounts of both the TOS era and Strange New Worlds.

There seems to be some growing sentiment within the fanbase- not necessarily against Ethan Peck, but not liking how Spock is being written in SNW.
Is there, really?

I doubt it.

Peck's brilliant. This is the best version of Spock since the original series.

That’s called continuity.
