Enterprise Bridge Console - discuss!

Can't see much of the console.. or even tell where on the Bridge it is.. but from what I see it doesn't seem to suck :)

Well...the symbols above his glasses remind me of CARET Symbols that I saw on Coast To Coast once that are also on Alienware products.

^^^^^Theres no way anyone can blow that up to be readable. There isnt enough clarity.

I tried that, it didn't work for me. Res just isn't high enough.

I posted a speculation thread here.

Besides, the consoles have to look like they are on ships between the time period of ENT and TNG.

No, they really don't.

Yes they do! Ok I know the "purists" wouldn't want anything changed, but I don't mind it looking more "updated."

That console could be the area between Sulu and Chekov. If I remember there were instruments a bit lower in that area.

I took the time to photoshop JJ out of the pic. Yes, I'm crazy. No need to tell me. ;)

Of course I had to make up some parts of it. But that may be what it looks like ...

I know (well pretty sure) its probably not intentional but that screen or circluar grid on top of the console reminded me of part of the "laser cannon" used in "The Cage". Mainly I was trying to remember... I know that part of it was re-used on the bridge in one (pretty sure) episode.

Anybody know which one it was? Just the clear circle panel was seen.

I'm pretty sure that circle panel ended up as part of the controls in the shuttlecraft.

Yeah I think you are right, but I am nearly certain I remember seeing it once on the bridge. I also think I read that it was only in that one episode. I am thinking the camera was looking back from between the helm and viewscreen, I thought kirk or someone was toward the front of the bridge but can't remember clearly?...

Looks good to me... bright, as Woulfe said (enough skulking around in shadows, says I) and high-tech enough not to look clunky. It even looks like a natural technological development point between now and TNG's Okudagrams. The more I see the more I like the look of this film.

Bloody hell, that's bright. Then again, as has been said, it's not lit for filming.

Not much to go on. God, this bastard is a tease.

InstantKarma, did you used to be Matt? You've got his same bad attitude.
If anyone has concerns about duals, or whatever, PM one of the mods or admins. This constant picking on the noobs needs to stop.

You know looking at the Cage's bridge, I am really beginning to like it more than the bridge we ended up with for TOS. If the bridge for the movie is taking after that since this will be Pike's ship for a time, I'm all for it!

I've already posted that in the Photoshop Trek thread in GenTrek. But I think it is befitting to repost it in this thread. I guess this might be what some TOS-Purists™ would have liked to see today ... ;)
